Ban the fleet system

Did trading just get nerfed??

yes

I do, but what would you do with 300k drachma that isn’t spending it in the auction house?
Only other use that drains drachma is investing in fleets, but since fleets gave so much that wasn’t an issue.

yes it got nerfed
my 60k fleet updates went to 10k (after the paying the upkeep of fleet and food with maximum risk)

Just stop trading

Honestly the question is how should fleets actually work?

Basically just tone the rewards and money gain down a bit and the economy will adjust just fine

lmao no, fleet should be ships following you, not invisible money printers

anyone who thinks fleets as is is good is missing half their brain. How much money can you get from 1 hour of afking? And how much people play the game? Without some drastic changes, give it as little as a month…. galleons will become COMPLETELY worthless. We are talking interwar germany levels of inflation here. Its a diaster. How much is a random seasonal going to be worth in galleons in a month? Millions? More?

as if anyone will buy seasonals to begin with. There’s still the option to trade them for items not directly affected by the galleon inflation like sunkens, the omen set, etc.

also why was nobody talking about the empires update adding a way to print certain reagents a year ago? it made only a certain amount of people rich and they could dictate the prices for said items.

because that was way slower
for example, a reagent pot takes like 50 minutes or something to give a single golden apple iirc

i mean, people do, well used to, buy seasonals for drachma. I myself have bought a death crown off the auctionhouse. Also the barrier to entry to actually getting gear that has a lot of value in trading is really high.

The best way to get sunkens is Luck V diving, but even if you leach off of luck parties, the horrid stormsalt prices right now and the pain to get stormsalts manually makes it a really bad option for a new player. Fishing is, well really fuckin boring.
And the Omen is well, a bit out of reach for a new player.
Higher prices are really painful, and I’m pretty sure the new taxes with only make this worse.

Also reagents pots were not nearly enough to wreck the economy, they take a while to produce a good amount of reagents.

Well this discussion is grey area and opened to harsh arguments. Just like IRL with economics and politics! Oh yeah were really getting the realistic experience now in a game with magic!

Literally just tone down some of the rewards it’s that easy
