Hey, I decided to try out your game. It looks pretty nice visually. Anyway, I know the game is basically a prototype, but here is my feedback regardless.

  1. The mouse cursor is pretty difficult to locate. Since it is a very small white dot. I get used to it eventually, but it can be confusing at first when you can’t find your cursor.
  2. The cube currency in the bottom right should be made more visible; it is very difficult to see, despite being pretty important, since it is a currency you’re going to use for everything.
  3. The controls aren’t displayed anywhere (to my knowledge), maybe putting it in the game or in the game’s description would be nice?
  4. In my opinion, the invincibility frame after the M1 finisher (for fists, not sure if other ARMS also apply) should be made way shorter.
    I often found out that using M2 after M1 combo seems to miss all the time so I have to wait, which break the flow in my opinion.
  5. Invincibility highlight effect should probably not be made visible through walls.
  6. In my opinion, the interaction range for NPCs should be increased.
    Like for example, in the Training Grounds, I can’t talk to Markus (Quest NPC) behind the counter, so I have to jump on the counter to even interact with him.
  7. For some reason, the reroll ARMS npc, despite being an “important NPC” (reset stat, reroll color, give quest, etc.) Uses B to interact instead of E.
    From what I observe, B to interact is used for NPCs that only give information and nothing else, so this NPC using B to interact is simply inconsistent with the rest of the NPCs.
  8. Maybe showing a description for each move for the ARMS in the registry UI would be nice to have?
  9. In my opinion, showing every locked move would be better than only showing moves that are 1.00 below the current ARMS’s level.
    Guessing from the game design perspective, I don’t think each ARMS will have more than 4 moves since the player can switch between 4 different ARMS slots. So displaying every locked move wouldn’t clutter the UI too much anyway.

There isn’t much to say about gameplay since this game is still in testing, and all I can do is beat up bandits to level up. So, although it feels similar to a battleground type of gameplay, I have no idea if it is good or not.

I’ll take a look into implementing some of these changes. For now the mouse cursor has been changed to be more visible and the interaction range has been increased by 2 studs for the NPCs, please lemme know if it still needs to be increased further. The other changes will be implemented in the coming days as well, thanks again for your feedback :3!

oh by the way is it intentional that you lose levels if you roll for and accept an arms with a lower max level than yours

Yeah, that’s your new potential because you purposefully accepted a lower max level ARMS.

I’ll try to add a pop up for it though so it’ll warn the player when accepting

personally i highly recommend having your previous level at least save and return when you get a higher level one because that was MAD annoying and demoralizing.

I spent 1260 gold gambling just to get the 2.99 ARMS

It’s around a 6% chance for a max level arms :D!
I hope it wasn’t too bad when you tried it ;v;

Well I got 2 arms with 2.99 but there was that little bug and they didnt save

Oh and since 1 npc gives 0.25g I killed over 5000 of them :slight_smile:

The reroll bugs out sometimes and it doesn’t properly overwrite your slot for some reason :thinking:… I’m still trying to fix this but I think it only happens on live servers so I’ve been having some issues replicating it
