yea bcs⌠atlatnean is the only thing that would be using them as weapon, sirens use ranged combat and seems to have no interest in hunting sea monsters, so naturally it would be exclusive to atlanteans, the only other sentient-ish speicies there (or rather, the only one with opposable thumbs, lol)

What i was talking is that there is indeed mutated fish in the dark sea in many forms so this answers how the BEARS feed question and maybe others, also i wanna point out gameplay wise yes the human atlanteans donât swim much or barely do but lore wise they are usually stranded on their island or boats making them having to go fish hunting to eat
except when we spot atlantean they are always in ruined structure or on ships, i highly doubt they have to swim much naturally, at best they might have to go swim somewhat close to catch fish but should most likely are terrestial hunters imo, considering we know animals (and im pretty sure fruit?) are around still on dark sea isles

yet⌠that doesnt answer why blood disease give you, the player, fish scales even though story-wise we are seen mostly travel on land or ship aka not that much of a reason to grow fish traits
or perhaps, my next ingenius idea: humans evolve fish traits is bcs we fucking suck underwater - like, its one of the only places human cant never conquer (without severe biomodding) effectively, so maybe thats why arcane corruption give human aquatic adapation?

but id like to imagine in the lore, most of them usually stay in the water for long enough for these mutations to occur, and these mutation changes depending on their way of hunting, some get squid like heads, to blind their predators underwater, some use tentacles to incapacitate their prey and not let them go ect ect, we also know there is a very highly mutated mutated white eyes in the far reaches called the alpha white eyes, having red eyes and sword of every era lodged in his tough skin in his back, he had a specific name i canât put my finger on. and as for the âhumansâ since they also stay on lands they ofc can still stand upright with their âlegsâ (thatâs just some rambling )
