Does bleeding blood disease cause weapons to apply severe bleed

no, bleeding weapons will only apply severe bleed when imbued with something that causes bleed, like metal, iron leg, or glass

(Updated fully)

Stage 0 Healthy Human:
This is my base looks for those who are wondering on how it transformed me.
(the 462 defense was when i had the 4 blood diseases, the 821 was the defense i had when using Blood diseases thru 1-3)

Stage 1 Blood Disease:
Your Skin begins to change color and reflect your element / effect you chose.
Your Hair begins to change color and reflect your element / effect you chose.

Stage 2 Blood Disease:
Your Hair becomes paler but not completely.
Your skin starts to blend in both elements / effects of your choosing.
Your body produces a faint steam aura.

Stage 3 Blood Disease (Lv 10 Brewing) :
Your hair becomes paler almost pearly white.
Your skin fuses more elements / effects of your choosing.
Your eyes become more cloudy making them look lighter then they were.
Your body’s steam seems to be more visible You grow Atlantean Features (Scales)
Your body is breaking down due to the high amount of energy in your body making you take 50 dmg every (8-16) seconds

Stage 4 Blood Disease (Lv 10 Brewing) :
Your hair is now fully drained of all color turning it into a pure white.
Your skin is now more consistent making your torso and head the color of your first disease and for some disease a darker tint of that element / effect of your choosing.
Your eyes are fully clouded and are pearly white (Note that they aren’t glowing white yet like the lost sailors suggesting in that they may have a stage further or possibly to indicate that they are completely mindless)
Your body’s steam is now fully visible.
You retain your Atlantean scales growth on your face.
Your body is breaking down due to the high amount of energy in your body making you take 100 dmg every (8-16) seconds.

(Note: Depending on your hair / eye / skin color if you take the same effects of blood disease in the same order as me thru lv 1-3 will be slightly different then me)

If i missed anything else’s pls do let me know, but with this we now know every stage / effects on your character the more they become mutated like an atlantean.

If you have any question pls be sure to do so.

I do wish the entire body was one color, having arms be different just looks off, especially with outfits that show the upperbody.

Perhaps mixing the colors together would be a better design?

Maybe honestly don’t know, also what would i found odd is that at Stage 4 your arms takes your regular skin stone whilst the torso and head change colors ?

I have a tier 1 blood disease for electro, and my entire body seems to be the color of the disease! Perhaps it’s just a bug?

Ruins my outfit + barely does anything (harming does 5 extra damage), and status effects suck duration-wise

Extremely niche use case but tier 1 slowness blood disease (only started running it in the first place for the sickly pale skin) seems to make animals in general but especially the mutated ones in the dark sea far reaches have real trouble charging at you. The Krystoros can bypass it once it gets in close range but other than that they can barely move lol. That said I haven’t fought them without it so I can’t really say for sure it’s the slowness.

Effect lasts 6 seconds for slowness according to my friend I tested it on which is.. decent, I guess?

decent for a majority of your max health to disappear into the aether?

hell no, I still can’t see why any blood disease should be used for such a high decrease in health, it’s simply too niche and.. bad.

Mb if I worded it poorly that wasn’t me trying to say blood diseases are somehow worth it lol, just that slowness’ duration isn’t quite as abysmal by comparison to some of the other effects on diseases.

keyword quite as a abysmal

it’s such a cool concept executed so poorly, I just wish they buffed it.

Agreed I’d argue with the max health decrease they should just inflict the unnerfed version of the t1 potion effect and it’d still be kind of meh.

I feel like the decrease isnt terrible for T1 blood diseases! i think I only lost 300-400 health. I thought I was going to have my hp before FR

Here’s my main problem with this:

It dont stack with move immediately. Like it dont immediately give synergy.

I did do a few testings afterwards, but even the lost sailors are even more mutated then us the in the max stage we can get, apart for the noticeable uni color skin they have, they have white glowing eyes and a random mutation to them, and another fact that set them apart from us is that they are also way more large then us at max stage, here’s a few pics:

There’s likely going to be more blood disease stages, seeing as the sailors you showed.

The issue is that no one will really go after them if they take SO MUCH health away for so little benefit.

They need to rework it, or buff it by a sizeable amount, either fully or increasing the benefits the more blood disease you have.

Bahaha! I love the fear in his eyes.

Oh a separate note since I did see there was talk about Atlanteans, has anyone encountered people that couldn’t drown?

I met two people.
One person said she got some message about an “Atlantean Mutation” or something, which then allowed her to swim under water without drowning. That was a while ago. I thought it was interesting, but couldn’t find anyone talking about it.

Later on, now recently being the start of the full release, I encountered another fella who genuinely thought drowning was removed from the game… Yeah, weird. I know.

I assume it was this rare “Atlantean Mutation” but for the life of me I can’t find anyone else talking about it! Do you guys know what I’m talking about?

Or maybe I’m just weird and fooled by some exploiter, but I doubt she was the type to do that.

Anyways, Blood Diseases are wack. Gave my Seeker Slot an Insanity Blood Disease and he went from looking intimidating to looking mighty goofy with his pink skin. I might just eat a molly for him.
