Each day, we get closer to Reminders for AO (Part 4)
My zero defense ass in the nimbus sea after tryna fight all the bosses:
calvus would still be easy even if that was a thing
take that back
Carina? Yes. I felt more pain from my eye strain fighting her than anything else. Ellius? No, he made me punch a hole in my wall. That definitely was a lasting injury.
for speedrunners
as a person who takes ages to do things (im savant) by the time im at calvus, the ravenna soldiers that iris dident delete have caught up with me ive already recovered
just drink an ironskin potion and you’re fine
What a great idea to make it ever easier to kill low level players at Sailor’s Lodge
people know that anyone who does that to people in Sailors are lame asf PvE heads who can’t pvp for shit, it’s more likely the low levels manage to escape than the kid to actually get the kill.
it should be halved while in the mines, but over the course of the day changing segment slowly heal up
Actually, yeah. The player spawns with a head bandage in the mines which disappears after the month, so they clearly did have some lingering damage. This would also do better to sell the sheer power of Julian’s attack and make it seem like we did in fact almost die.
Now, all that said, you still cannot convince me that we stood no chance at all against the man. I mean, we soloed Calvus after getting bodied, starved and sleep-deprived.
Nah. The protagonist spends a month in the Eternal Mines, which I’m pretty sure is enough time for them to have completely healed before Calvus.
non magic players at that time would’ve had no chance since you only start to subconsciously infuse your weapons and fighting styles with magic after awakening
theyre sleep deprived and malnutritioned
I mean, true, but…
… idk, I just hate feeling powerless against a brat like him.
dw we’ll probably kill him later on, you’ll be able to shatter his skull then
is this gonna happen when we re-fight them bc that sucks.
No, it’s story only. It wouldn’t make sense for the player to sustain lasting injury for fighting a trauma-induced hallucination.
but then again, the fact that we get injured by said hallucination and get their gear doesn’t make sense in the first place either.
basically, gameplay convenience
