We all know about the building tool on claimable islands, but sometimes one may come to realise that it doesn’t have something which would improve its capacity to make a base feel well defended, or perhaps decorated. This suggestion offers a simple addition that could go a long way in expanding on the decorating aspect of clan building.
Everything said in the following description that regards clans also applies to guilds.
Context:
As you all know, we already have paintings in our brigs, as well as clan logos. Building tools allow you to do a lot, but it seems like something is missing. It’s most likely impossible to make it perfect, but I believe we can allow it to get closer to that point.
Proposal:
I suggest we add paintings. Paintings would be functionally identical to that of brigs, meaning they could hold any ROBLOX decal. In the decoration tab would be different options for these: Paintings would come in different sizes, shapes, etc., and they’ll also have the possibility to slightly stick out of the wall, and carry a frame of a chosen material, or appear as a texture directly on the wall, and without a frame. These paintings could be edited any time by the clan members, however the clan leader and the one who built them could decide who would be able to edit the pictures, let it be the lowest rank, highest rank in the clan, or a specific person/people. These paintings of course could be edited to have a picture in it that lasts as long as you want. This would most definitely help decorate islands more, make keeps feel less empty and overall just make decorations feel more complete.
Implementation:
Each painting would cost 1000 drachmae. The limit to how many paintings a clan can place would go as follows:
- New - 5 Paintings
- Rookie - 10 Paintings
- Average - 15 Paintings
- Strong - 20 Paintings
- Superior - 25 Paintings
- Powerful - 30 Paintings
- Supreme - 30 Paintings
- Legendary - 40 Paintings
The higher requirements may need to be lowered in order to deal with lag.
Pros:
- Would allow for much more customizability, and for each clan to better express their identity.
- Would allow for clans to retrace their history and battles and showcase it in their base.
- Would put an even more major emphasis on clan wars.
- Would make visiting bases much more interesting.
Cons:
- Would most likely require moderation, in order to exclude inappropriate images, however this is probably already an issue for brig picture frames
TL:DR
Clans would now have the ability to place picture frames in their bases through the building tool feature, these would work functionally the same as brig paintings currently do
