For this game to have an actual trade focused economy there aren’t nearly enough things that delete galleons and far far far far far too many galleons are already in the game.
I’m no economy expert but I don’t think money should feel infinitely renewable lol.
Optical is dead set on thinking everybody just has it out for him instead of reflecting on his own actions and seeing why people react the way they do.
If I was doing balancing I’d wipe galleons then nerf its obtainment methods to give way less (I went through WOM a few days ago and the crowns felt insanely hard to get so replicating that would be a nice step)
I may be wrong but it could give a purpose to people who wanna do cargo since it could be easier? And the people who want more could do charts or dark sea or something.

This is a bad idea, it would make cargo faster (which don’t get me wrong thats a good thing), but it doesn’t add anything past that. All this does is allow people to gain a lot of galleons, inflating the economy. If this suggestion was a revamp of the cargo system to make it faster but more difficult (such as making the crew load cargo onto the ship, but having lets say some pirates attack you or something) then it would be better.

Galleons don’t have any value in trading, and even if, let’s say an acrimonies galleon price shot up to 300k, you could easily make that anyways. The average time it takes to make that money stays the same. It only affects buying in-game items from NPCs
I gotta clarify, it still takes a few minutes for your crew to load your ship, same as unloading.
this is bascially just a lazy version of loading your ship plus it willl just bulk cargo runs before even starting the story at all plus there should be some drawbacks like it costing more money than buying them regularly or when selling them they give lesser money and exp or some like that
you basically gave 0 explanation on any potential drawbacks or anything.
at most this will just double the lazyness of players,next there will be suggestions on auto ship driving ong bluetooth shit

But I do think that maybe having tons of cargo should slow your ship down and pirate ships should aggro more on you

it would make sense for the cargo to give less money and exp in exchange for basically auto loading it on to your ship
if there were no drawbacks at all then it would just be people beig max lvl within the first 2 hours of playing the dang game
Making it sell for less like, idk 20 percent less would make it slightly less viable
this should be the basis for having cargo on your ship in general
In cargos current state, it shouldnt have debuffs. As I have said, youre already wasting a good hour loading your ship and making it evn more of a pain would just be unnecessary
