altrought it was worse when I had 1 milion fame since apparently people can join leaderboard players no matter their join setting
I’m pretty sure players are joinable beyond 500k regardless… then again, I wouldn’t be able to tell if I was being joined or not, especially as being at 500k, last I checked, was not anywhere close to leaderboard status.
Idrk, check your settings. I have over over 500k bounty and noboody can join me aside from friends. Try avoiding servers with other high renown players and you will be fine

1: Not trying to climb the leaderboard.
2: Not wanting to fight leaderboarders.
Those are the only two things renown will get you, the things you have made abundantly clear that you do not want.

Yes, camping issues need to be fixed, aka your poster shouldn’t be on the board for atleast 1 minute after you die cuz it’s dumb for it to be there. and imo if you respawn on your ship, your spawn protection should have 15 second duration from when you move as long as you’re within your ship radius.
That said, If you don’t want to deal with the Leaderboard, turn off PvP. It is what it is.

I admit, it sounds strange to want to have your high renoun, even if you aren’t going for the big board of danger. Again, though, I wanted to fight actual people, at some point, but not be curbslammed by nobodies who chase the meta to climb leaderboards and use people to go up - it’s just the Icarus story all over again when balance hits them.
Have you seen the matchmaking feature?

Its like I said earlier, your course of action is contradictory to your own intentions.
Your intention is to have fair fights outside of the meta.
Your course of action exclusively attracts metamancers that will stop at nothing to gank you lol.
If you want to fight people fairly, stay far out of the leaderboard’s attention, they do not care about fair.
Your best bet is looking around in Clans and Game Discussion > PvP for groups that do Elysium stuff, or waiting for the amazing patchnote that was just dropped that you can see above.
The most important thing you can do first, though, is to get a competent build.
Given that the fleet system and the auctionhouse both exist, nothing in the entire game is realistically out of reach.
Outside of stupid shit like gilded lost envoy that’ll cost you in the millions of drachma per piece.
