Or even the… cough cough, weapon wipe.

The reason people were/are so pissed about luck potions is because of the massive cost to getting luck potions in the first place.

Very very few people like fishing in the first place, I’d bet 90% of the community doesn’t know about rotting fish for scales, and the game wants them to catch 10 legendary fish for a top tier luck potion.

Even with rotting, 5 legendary fish is NOT worth the effort.

I mean to be fair, I assume what happened in testing went like this
vetex implements feature
Huh that’s weird, my sstaff is gone, oh well I’ll just spawn in another one
nobody mentions it until release

No, the bug didn’t even exist in the test universe (which you would’ve known if you started using discord since a post was made about it)

I am NEVER going to the nuclear wasteland that is the vetcord

Then you should never complain again, because frankly half of everything you say is full of misunderstandings due to lack of information

I should not be expected to have a fucking intelligence agency to stay up to date on a roblox game

I never said that but you’re complaining a lot more than you should since you’re deciding not to join the two servers where a ton of stuff about the games development and balancing is explained

Here’s a valid complaint: I should not have to make use of third party software(s) in order to know of announcements regarding a game.

would be a valid complaint if ao was a triple a game but implementing a whole discord-like system for info like that just wouldnt be worth the time, using discord for info is the standard on roblox and it’s not like its hard to download or use

Ok true

But I think if I checked aos development any more compulsively I’d be diagnosed with a mental disorder

It is a valid complaint, however native systems for keeping players up to date in Roblox are actual garbage. Pretty much all you can do is put [UPDATE] in the title and then a changelog either in-game or linked in the description.

Vesteria has 2 “changelogs” but they’re absolute shit. The one on main screen is only ever updated on a big update, I think, while the one in settings hasn’t been updated in months.

I’ve seen stuff like this many times everywhere, both in balancecord and probably also the forums. This is just cannon fist QOL and I’m all for it.

The infinite cannon balls thing is good QOL and it shouldn’t affect combat at all.

(Half of) The spirit of cannon fist seems to be changing your stats on the fly, and I think simplifying it to light, normal, and heavy is a great way to represent that. I read through Pilles cannon fist “rework” and this is basically the second half of that but simplified to what people would actually use.

Good stuff, but nothing groundbreaking. I think this would be good enough to make it a viable, non-meme fighting style.

Though, I think the m1’s need a small amount of changes to make them more fun than “spam click after grab for free damage” and “soft counter builds with high endlag and then be completely worthless elsewhere”.

I saw something in this thread about this being banned because it’s a combat suggestion, and I think that’s dumb. This is straight QOL on something literally nobody was using for PVP combat anyways.

Also while I’m here, might as well give my thoughts on Pilles unfinished document.

Top stuff sounds reasonable. QOL is probably good but I don’t understand it since I’ve never played cfist.

I like the idea of charging m1 shots since it encourages aiming and not spamming at endlag, but it really depends on how the charging is done (e.g. can you move while charging?). I think this should be added alongside a heavy attack speed nerf to the m1’s because you shouldn’t be able to get 2 or 3 free hits immediately after a grab (the damage should be balanced off of just one, or maybe no free hits at all because grabs are already balanced in terms of damage).

The cannonball throw affinities are unnecessary. Realistically people would just choose whatever has the most extreme stats and ignore everything else. Might as well simplify it to light, normal, heavy like in this suggestion, though maybe I can see one more.

Personally I would also add a little more to make cfist truly unique, maybe something like a flat range upgrade on all ranged attacks (separate from attack speed) and sweetspot on all ranged FS abilities (ranged attacks being shot, axe slash, and any more that are added).
