Ok, I’m just stuck having to fight this sin against creation once again(this time with a warlord save, so that’s always fun), and tell me why this absolute garbage chute of a person(can’t even call her(can’t call it(yes, it’s an it now) that either) a person) moves around the arena faster than a bipolar person changes up their emotions? And for some reason not even god knows of, she has invincibility sometimes. Her first phase isn’t even hard. I don’t get what was going through Big V’s head when he decided to make the second phase. Imo it’s harder than Allanon and Ivar combined. And I might just suck, but I can beat those other two just fine. So idk.

If you’re struggling against her here’s some tips:
- If you don’t want to get out of maria’s arena and risk her respawning when she’s doing the wave attack, you can actually just time the parries as they’re easy to time once you get the rhythm right.
- Use attacks that are quick enough to land before she moves and quick enough for you to not get locked in place for too long.
If you don’t know the timing for the tentacle attack, this boss is infact satan. As far as ivar goes, he is harder, but dosen’t have iframes like you mentioned. If you are struggling, use your second amendment right in addition to high mobility weapons. Completely ignore fighting styles in this fight unless you want to start with poisebreak (risky).
Edit: if you are a weaponlord, I highly advise using a cleaver type weapon for this fight due to the amount of projectiles it can fit on it, if you don’t have any guns or aren’t willing to use them.
Yeah guns are the main counter for her since you need to stay mobile enough to avoid attacks and still be able to deal damage.

Also maria can be a pain in the ass any day of the week in comparison with how god damn long her iframes are.
If I had to balance Maria in any way, it’d either be that the cooldown between iframes is longer, or make her iframes shorter in duration.
If I personally had to balance maria, i’d give her an arena twice the size, lessen the iframes, make her ult deal more damage, telegraph the gun m1s, and give her a similar ai to king calvus or argos.
Realistically it would be best to rework every ai but thats a nitpick.
if i were to rebalance her, i-frames get completely replaced with a 50% dmg reduction, larger arena, and a lil bit more health since i removed i-frames

Not sure why other folks specifically find Maria to be hard. For me, she’s piss-easy, with the only reason I hate her beyond belief being her fuckshit invicibility she can pop out whenever she wants with next to no cooldown. Without it, she’s a bigger fraud than Morden.
