This would be a really fantastic idea if we lived in a perfect world and AO was a perfect game but sadly we don’t; So a nice idea such as this would never ever exist in Vetex’s current image of the game.

Basically what the car guy said and what I said in the second half of my comment. This would sadly not make it, which is a shame because it would be a net positive for PvP.

aside from them, agreement towards this seems just about unanimous.
just as much as keeping Elysium closed benefits nobody, opening it has the potential to benefit everybody, of course people are in favor of it lol.
anybody seeing the state this game’s community has been in since launch should want to see the line between PvP players and PvE players blurred wherever possible.

Really hope this is added, like how the %hp ds lightning damage suggestion was. No downsides, pvp players get their own area, pve players can get into pvp using it, and people in AO proper can have a much more chill time.
For those complaining world pvp would suffer, you do realise 95% of world pvp is just ganking and rking?
Toxic practices should not be game defining features like they are now. Reducing them makes everyone have a better time and doesn’t drive off new players.

Good suggestion, but unfortunately, Vetex is weirdly obsessed with turning Arcane Odyssey into the next EVE Online (everything simulates a theoretical hyper-opportunist murderhobo playground). It’s why jailtime is still the way it is—Vetex sort of expects players to be engaging in all-out wars over claiming islands where 5+ minutes of getting locked in a cell would actually mitigate the hypothetically ludicrous territorial lust they would have.
A dedicated PvP arena probably would decrease the chances of this happening, and thus probably not be conducive to AO’s design philosophy that I just assumed Vetex would have.
