When i wanted to collect images of my OC Magnus for upcoming post titled “The History of Magnus Silver.”, i went out of my way to do some silly Adventure Story tomfoolery.

goofy Bandit King Death pose, first solo on this file, i guess i suck at bosses, but i can proudly slay Tier 3 corruption Dweller, Bandit and Druid, while also losing most of my resources from those encounters, i still haven’t found the Final Tangler piece…the corruption tier 3 tangler.

Dang the dungeon music PEAKS.
Thankfully, Dweller C3 didn’t come to beat me up again, because he is known to get to certain corruptions levels while i am casually trying to grind.

Tier 3 Dungeon, aka the Green dungeon, basically the dungeon turns really green at the 6-8’th dungeon tier internally, is extremely hard, once i recall, when i got there with @beewaxical, when we fought against three C2 Daiseyes, don’t recall how my friend died to them, but i had to micro targetting all of them, while also blocking each of their poison sprays, otherwise it would end in a defeat, and what happened? i somehow defeated them, barely alive with all healing items lost, this was my most stressful,hellish AS experience yet, but it can get worse, however.

Like i mentioned about defeat powerful corruptions, me and my team, with my friend, beat C2 BK, we couldn’t defeat C3, because he dealt a truckload of damage, and we were quite unlucky with minion spawns, which i forgot if they were corrupted or not.

We never tried C3 Bedrock, and from what i’ve seen, that guy deals a truckload of damage, and is overall very annoying to deal with…but you cannot top the most annoying enemy in-game (in my opinion):Tier 3 corruption Burglar,i’ve encountered multiple times, but i promptly left the game as soon as i saw the face of that demon, maybe someday…i’ll try to beat them again.

Story is probably the only arcane game I haven’t finished, underrated.

Adventure Story is sad. I get the reason why Vetex abandoned it, but it just feels like such missed potential to can a Paper Mario-style MMORPG. I’m not saying that Vetex should return to AS (Developing AO alone is hard enough) but I want to see the concept expanded.

Sadly, chances are that nobody will ever care to make another game like it, at least on Roblox.
95% of all Roblox developers only care to exploit children by making cashgrabs with AI-generated thumbmails.

We got the Deepwoken version of AS, Arcane Lineage
Literally turn-based combat but permadeath

So who knows, maybe history will repeat itself and we’ll get an open world AS that will be revamped into the original game’s formula

i wish i could code well. even if i could make a remake (or get given it from vetex somehow) it wouldn’t get front pg from no purchases and prob feel different.

These sorts of topics make me wonder if Vetex would ever consider uncopylocking the game so that people could continue its legacy if they were interested- I could see someone deciding to make “Adventure Story: Rewritten” thanks to passion for the game. I know I was considering making a “demake” (but scrapped the idea thanks to not knowing how to code lol) but eh… what’s done is done, and for now we can only hope.

This sounds like a good idea, until you realize there are people who could just flood the game with microtransactions and turn Adventure Story into Pay-to-Win Story.

Arcane Adventures was uncopylocked and we got Arcane Reborn out of it- even if it has a low player count it still exists.

Perhaps we could see something similar happening there, though the threat of pay-to-win story could still loom, I don’t disagree with that. Even so, if there’s a market for it, I guarantee that eventually something good would come from the rubble.

in the most recent QnA stream Vetex has said that after AO he’s getting out of game dev and focusing on being an author

funny that i necro’d this thread because i just got shown this:

paper mario multiplayer rpg w/ earthbound flavor all over it, this might be the true successor to Adventure Story
