Community Feedback on Balancing

fighting styles in general just kinda suck for pve ngl

those are just mobility changes that make you have to spend a bit more time traversing

not that big of a deal compared to how much they affected a given fight

also exhaustion is still goofy imo but that doesn’t affect pve at all

  • Removal of bursting aura
  • Nerfing of dodge reflexes, reducing it to 1 dodge
  • Nerfing of defense and regeneration
  • Cone check
  • Various fighting style and magic nerfs
  • Multiple stat formula/efficiency needs

While most of these have contributed positively to making the game’s PvP experience better and more balanced, none of these changes have impacted PvE in a positive way. NPCs continue to get more busted and overpowered while players receive nerfs to anything that gives them an edge in combat.

Just imagine how crazy it’d be to fight level 260 rivals and Armored pirate ships if we still had the power we had access to on early access release.

Combat should get some more situational things.
You have Snare, Uppercut, and Surge which are made for when your opponent is getting too close, and that’s about it.

I want to be like “Aha, you’ve played the German Offset Quad-Beam, you fool, I have the Shockblast spell! AHAHAHAHA!”

Wow I wonder why

all these changes affect combat as a whole but i still don’t see how it makes pve specifically much worse

players still easily beat npcs with much more levels, we would cook any npc around our actual level

maybe we should be fighting those guys when we’re actually on their level

are you implying that it’s because of balance changes?
because that’s not true, fighting styles is fundamentally bad against npcs

Ok then

If it’s not strong for pve, buff it

I’m proving my point that because they are an echo chamber of PvP players, they don’t focus on pve issues enough

if you buff it by just increasing its numbers, fighting style users would completely dominate in pvp

also that still wouldn’t fix the issue of fighting styles being fundamentally bad against npcs, it would just make players be able to statcheck npcs up until a certain point

what needs to happen is some kind of rework instead of just a numbers change

Fighting Styles are about going towards your enemy. If your enemy is an NPC, they’ve already come to you.

Idk man completely disregarding the other part of the community hasn’t been an obstacle in the past

i have no idea what you’re talking about bro

Here me out, so melee attacks against npcs are bad in general right? lets just make it so that said npcs do less damage to people who are close to them. Granted it is a bandage fix but something is better than nothing

if you’re referring to pve issues that are outside combat, that isn’t exactly the bteam’s job, nor does what they do really affect it in any meaningful way

if you’re referring to pve issues in combat, then i don’t exactly see how a balance change would somehow be overly detrimental to combat against an npc compared to combat against a player

That’s it, go fight Martin

honestly think they would work decently if grabs worked on bosses (should also be getting better w npc m1s getting removed)

They do, it just doesn’t stun them (all the damage is dealt at once)

the stun is whats important about the grabs, it gives a better chance to deal further damage and losing that is what makes fs just not work well in pve

or they could… you know… reduce the level of the clearly overleveled npcs

Metas the type of guys to ask for feedback and not respond to the feedback :skull:
