Are we talking about healthcare or overall?

overall

Overall, US is still better than China.

they’re both still poop
i’m moving to canada ASAP

I just realized that I edited my last comment instead of making a new one

I suggest not,

yeah i was confused for a second while reading cuz clicking the replies kept sending me to your old reply lol

be seeing y’all from Korea in a couple years lelel

economic depression about to roll around with all the spending on stupid shit

canada shit too

overall the US is still a better place to live in than china

I’d rather live in Canada that the US tbh

China is basically totalitarian at this point

why
while I admit colder weather is nice, canada still overall worse than the US

In what way?

much less populated,
the healthcare appears “cheaper” but its included in taxes regardless of whether you use it or not,
less potential jobs you can get,
canada’s government is actually pretty authoritarian,
winter sucks,
practically everywhere inhabited in canada is the exact same ecologically,
everywhere really inhabited in canada is right next to the border of the US too

the US itself isn’t that bad,
any complaints are generally just complaining a few things that the news over-reports on (like school shootings, which are actually pretty rare and typically don’t often have that many casualties, yet the entire country is stereotyped for it)/the political climate/a few shitty cities

hooray for straying off-topic

It’s still much much cheaper than the U.S. overall since it’s a universal healthcare

A 2% higher unemployment rate isn’t gonna rile me up

A parliamentary democracy is much better than the U.S. almost never reaching bipartisan conclusions

ice skating

At least all the ecology isn’t dying

Canada’s provinces are very large, also why wouldn’t they be farther south? You expect them to all live on Ice sheets?

1 in 1,050 high schools getting shot up is still fucking huge

1 in 424 for colleges/universities

Assuming someone went through their entire education with 4 years in college and 7 years of school between middle and high, there’s a 1.6% chance you’ll be facing a school shooting in your lifetime…

Already addressed this earlier, both sides worry too much about political stances and almost never make bipartisan decisions

It’s much more than just what you listed but ig, that’s what happens when almost 1% of your country is criminals

Replying to this as a Canadian:

this a bad thing?

that’s kind of necessary for everyone to be able to use it. not trying to discuss ethics here though. also, is it really that much higher?

true, but is it that much higher?

how?
do you mean actually authoritarian or the average YouTube commenter’s definition of authoritarian?

true, true, and sorta true, but i don’t see how any of these are straight up negatives lmao. also the north is basically desert land.

Imagine not having free healthcare noobs
Btw dragon what the fuck

perhaps but that doesn’t make it a difference worth moving for
someone who doesn’t need the healthcare services would still be forced to pay via taxes

what I mean is less careers and job opportunities
as in, theres far less jobs and fields you can get in canada

irrelevant

winter up there still sucks

canada doesn’t have ecology to die lol, barely anything up there besides mammals

where’d you get these numbers
even going by that,
though I’m seeing much much different numbers on the “average amount of students in a us high school”, I’ll just go with 526 for the sake of calcuation
1050 x 526 = 552300 students
given 1 school shooting were to occur per that many students, and most barely kill anyone,
school shootings are incredibly rare and don’t do much

yes it sucks however that usually doesn’t affect the average citizen

not sure where you got that number specifically
being arrested/detained/etc is much different than being just labeled a “criminal”, especially given most arrests in this manner are for petty crimes or investigation

you still completely dodged my question of why you’d prefer to live in canada over the US

not necessarily although it contributes to other factors,
less tax revenue primarily which should have obvious implications

if one actively needs medical assistance then yes the US costs more
however the flaw is that if one doesn’t need that medical care, you still have to pay

what I mean is less careers and job opportunities
as in, theres far more jobs and fields you can get jobs in than canada

whats the definition of “actually authoritarian”

super cold winters means roads need way more road maintenance, gotta deal with snow piling up everywhere, gonna have to bundle up a ton
everything being the same ecologically gets pretty boring, in the US you can drive in nearly any direction and theres a different climate

it ain’t free

:flushed:

man we’ve strayed way off-topic

This has turned from China landing on Mars to why one country is better or worse than another
