Hello, Im a level 125 lightning conjurer(Made it cuz I tought it might be fun), Im wondering what the available options are for low-end player who experiance an average of 15-17 or less fps(lower then 10 in combat) are for dealing with getting randomly hunted. I’ve decided to create this topic as it is uncommon to be randomly subjected as a target to a hunt while doing random activities such as treasure hunting and trading cargo, even considering a low fame(lower then 10k).
Ping is also in consideration, while it may vary between players, mine is about 150-220 ms on average.
Note: To be clear Im not against bounty hunters as it is an ingaging aspect of the game, and without it the pvp in this game would be mostly limited to random duels and clan infamy grinds making it a bit stale and feel like another grinding game. It can just become an annoyence whenever your sent all the way back to spawn.
I made myself a set of air capacity jewels as the solution. This helps me with underwater exploration to get a plenty of useful items, and also I can swim away from hunters whenever they come, without even using water breathing potions.
Auric seaweed is the easiest to get among all tier 2 jewelcrafting reagents, so making yourself a couple of breathing jewels is not that hard. I recommend also making a bunch of tier 1 bleeding burst potions and some sharkrepel flasks. This pair of potions can let you feed the hunters to the sharks, by throwing bleeding into them when they are underwater. But when u have sharkrepel effect, no sharks will spawn from ur potions, so keep that in mind
This does seem like a good solution in some cases, but a lot of bounty hunters(from my experiance, more applies to mage and weapon builds and theyre respective hybrids) will usualy resort to ranged weaponry and magic attacks.
Yes they will. So your main goal after you jump into the water is to stay a meter above the bottom and swim to deeper parts as quickly as possible
I have a lot of health so I can escape easily, but if you don’t, focus more on distracting hunters with sharks
Well my set-ups are mostly agility based. But since I was planning on going a 25/75 split between energy regen and air capacity gems anyways I will try to incorporate this tactic whenever Im being hunted.
More specificly perfect morenci gems with copper shroom(25%) and auric seaweed(75%) respectively
75% is usually 6 jewels. If you will get 10% air capacity on all of them, this will be 60% air usage decrease. Pair this with some tier 1-2 waterbreathing flasks and you will be able to travel between islands on the seafloor

U said u have low fps. Stamina consumption while swimming is not affected by it, but your swimspeed somewhy is. So there will be moments when you won’t have stamina to swim to the surface due to lags. Just watch out for any underwater structures or island borders to rest at and regen stamina, don’t rush.
Alright. Also sometimes due to ping spikes my stamina freezes allowing me to swim extended distances before the game registers and updates my stamina again.
But this also temporarily freezes me serverside leaving me open for a few hits so its what it is.
Yeah sounds familiar. Also, when u will swim and see sharks, drink sharkrepel before they notice u, otherwise it won’t work. And don’t forget: obolus isn’t a shark

That is the most obsurd AOE deamon set-up I think is even possible in this game. I have a feeling 80% of explosion mages use this.
My fps will reach the negatives. They will start loading the past.
This can work against you in some situations. Most serious bounty hunters, like myself, carry a TON of bleeding potions. When you through bleeding potions into the water, it spawns sharks.
So, whenever people dive into the water to try and escape me and I just spam my bleeding potions and let the sharks finish the job.
It’s better to just wear high agility sets instead of relying on diving into the sea. Unless you’re paranoid enough to check the tools inventory of EVERY high-bounty/high player kill player in your server, high agility is just better.
Also, try to carry love gels. You have a reasonably high bounty, around 10k~, so hunters that have high renown(above 100,000) will either not waste time hunting you(unless you’re the only player in the server with a decent bounty, but even at that hunting NPCs is just faster in that case), or they won’t waste resources on you.
I guess I’m sort of contradicting myself- which is just another reason why going for a high agility set is a better idea than just becoming a diver.
Oh, and one last thing, try to keep your renown in check. As a bounty hunter, I don’t go for people below 50,000 since they hardly give me any renown for the trouble to be worth it, so being a neutral reputation or at most 20,000 renown is optimal to avoid most hunters.
This is just from my experience from almost 400,000 renown gained from pure player bounties. Hope this helps.
oh, and another thing about high agility sets(150+ agility), is that sometimes it’ll just make the hunter to depressed that they won’t even try to attack you anymore after you start running!
