For me, I do because it feels natural, although the ones I use are just whichever part gives the most XP just because I think they work, so this is

Chapter 1: Saving Frostmill

Chapter 3: The Lion’s Fury

i split them via levels

levels 1-25: easy speedrun redwake/frostmill chapter
levels 25-40: very boring grind to lvl 40 for stepstones chatper
levels 40-65: honestly really chill and linear sky islands part of the story chatper
levels 65-90: “ignore the level requirement and just rush calvus” chapter
level 90-120: hellishly boring grind to level 120, get dodge reflex chapter
level 120-130: “I HATE CAPTAIN MARIA” chapter
level 130-140: “just get me to max level already so i can transfer my items” chapter

Honestly, I don’t even recognize AO’s storyline in what it defines as chapters, but rather by sea. The Bronze Sea is one chapter in my head, and the Nimbus Sea is another.

I don’t pay attention to chapters though, and I have never referred to the chapters by anything, especially not the above names, but I felt like making some jokes based on how I play. I had to guess what they are based on the first post.
