i like the dark seas, but with the conquest fleet task it feels bit pointless for me to do now. But i do await for more dark sea contents to be added
What about Moly and Far Reaches animal drip?
Trade for that unless you’re searching for hecate then…..
YOU’RE COOKED
I don’t think this would really be a problem if Enizor didn’t suddenly refuse to enchant for you at all until you go collect his Black Shards
I still deadass can not enchant.
The menu is broken for me pre and post black shared quest, it refuses to open.
He is useless.
Currently it is because we havent really gotten any new features, aside from the book of athena but thats just kind of a collectible really
Back when the update came out the dark sea was so cool, but its been a longgg time since then and its in need of an update

My main issue right now with the dark sea are the Krakens and the extraction itself, overall is a thing i enjoy, but about the Krakens, lets be honest, besides the regular one, ask anyone their advice for Giants or Omen, their answer? Cheese it. Them are an enemy that unless you cheese it with long range spells, its a 100% your ship will sink, Omen’s tentacles atleast are far enough to let your ship to get out, but Giant ones, them right away will begin to spam the grab on your ship, ignoring the fact that combat in any place but solid landscape is horrible, will get your ship sunk or yourself drowned due ships does not anchors players to their momentum.
And about the Omen, i feel he should have its own boss arena. I have previously encountered islands which are shaped like a donut, i feel that would be an amazing arena to fight an Omen, no ship, just the player, circling around the island attempting to dodge his attacks.
About the extraction, is clear that anyone who goes to far lands without an actual full party most likely will rather to reset their character than actualy attempt to return to the war sea, as it will take ages to bring the sealed chests and who knows if your ship sinks mid way. I have encountered before an island with castaways who has settled a town in there, i think the dark sea should have a chance, increasing the further you go, to spawn a preset castaways’ town island with a shipwreight NPC to atleast open your chests.
personally, lacking for its intentional purpose. and i still think it’s not well thought out(lazy in a mental sense).
The dark sea works when you just wanna relax and play the game at the i0/i1 ranges, but any more then that and you run into several issues, mainly:
every island is basically a copy/paste template with 3 variables, that being island height(which is rigged to be a LOT taller on I3+), shape and biome.
Oh, and don’t get me started on the krakens and the OMEN. The former is annoying and spams grab which can ruin your ship HP and the latter is just a cheese punching bag and a meat pinata.
As for how it’s “lazy”, a lot of the stuff hasn’t been well thought out. simply put:
Tornadoes , waves and random weather generation can feel unfair at times, especially with the updated tornadoes.
Dark sea sealeds become less valuable to grab the further in you are, purely due to logistics.
Atlantians are just stat blocks. Easy to cheese as mage, painful if you rely on CQC. The new upcoming changes don’t really add much other then more pain and a slight gear change.
I guess because of how the OMEN doesn’t actually hit you most of the time it comes off as lazy coding?
Most dark sea gear isn’t really all that worth it compared to modified uncommons, Due to the lack of ability to add other modifiers that isn’t Atlantian, and there are better armors like sunken/omen and kraken band. It’s like braving the dangers of the dark sea is fruitless compared to… charts. boring. (The band barely spawns and the omen is well… the omen. cheese yes but still, doesn’t exactly exemplify danger)
I guess water poisoning needs a few changes? I am fine with having a bar that you need to check on to ensure preservation of supplies, but a purely RNG mechanic simply just isn’t it.
The roguelike aspect just doesn’t seem to be present. There is not a single temporary buff, all the structures are samey and damn it the drops don’t seem to improve fast enough.
okay so yeah when i was first making this when i meant “lazily” i meant the process of doing it felt lazy as shit
Well brainstorming is part of the process in making stuff like this.
so yes it was lazily made in a certain part of the process.
ig.
I dont mean enemies only. I mean like structure or anything. Even items. What I mean is we should receive zero update info on dark sea beside it got updated.
I think the water poisoning should instead be a VERY LOW DAMAGE stacking dot (duration refreshes and the damage stacks up), and you can bathe/use soap to clean it, the current RNG state of it is annoying.
As for the weather, the density of rain should be reduced so you can actually see something.
The tornado/wave/atlantean ship spawning should be tuned so the ships don’t spawn literally next to your ship or directly in front of you facing you with cannons (yes it happens), the wave damage needs to be normalized because with 100 stability, a massive wave does like no damage but a single tiny random dot magic wave will chunk you for hundreds, that needs to be fixed because it’s really REALLY annoying, atleast make it so the waves cannot spawn in a circle around your ship (same with tornadoes) based on your turning so you can actually avoid it instead of taking mandatory damage with no counterplay.

Tbf I think that part of Dark Sea is fine. Like Im cool with getting jumpscared by Kraken.
What im not cool with is for some reasong I cant kill the kraken cuz the game decided to not register my damage
The design, layout, varieties of islands, enemies, weather and hazards are all really well made and probably one of the coolest concepts in any boblox rpg
UNFORTUNATELY, the gameplay loop of acquiring Dark Sealed Chests (which 90% of people do Dark Sea for) is very repetitive and can make everything around it feel more repetitive by association
The easiest way to grind DSC (Dark Sealed Chests) at the moment is simply farming Siren Rocks and going in circles. There’s no real puzzles to solve, or enemies you even necessarily need to fight, even if you find dsc on shipwrecks or islands, there is no skill involved in grinding them
And that’s the problem, DSC are a grind, an RNG grind ![]()
Of course end game loot should be harder to acquire, but when you have to enter a braindead vegetative troglodyte state for hours on end to farm for it, it’s no longer fun and can ruin the overrall experience
(yappathon end)
I think conquest even post nerf actually fixes that rather handly so you can focus on not grabbing the sealeds and grab the other fun stuff.
Or like in calamity in sulphurous ocean when you underwater, special bar fills, if it is fills to maximum you will get damage and bar drops to 0%
