honestly grass is the best of the starters, needles and vine grab is used for so many combos, as well as the tornado
I personally use the tornado to complement darkness cheese combos
based elements 
not the expensive shit maple’s coping about and is still very powerful
because its fun. i play for the fun in making people confused with ace
other times because i cant choose what other multiblast to use (sometimes i use rocks avalanche because you can yeet yourself with it)
but have you tried the latest elements and what do you think of them if you had.
I barely play this game but the only elements I have an issue with is angel, reaper, spectrum, and illusion
technology is somewhat counterplayable compared to those imo

maple I used to respect you but I think that respect is fading away fast
once i can get back on to check my moveset i can screenshot
last time i played was like 3 months ago so i mostly forget what i used
visually most pleasing elements are gravity, light, and darkness (the ults)

reaper is awful how do you have an issue with it
holobeam 
theres a fun combo that you can use with wind aoe + nature blast, but literally u can use any tp to get out of it
gravity ult is by far my favorite (spammed it back in the old days)

it’s not braindead, and it looks cool

Nightmare best element on its own imo (besides mana cost)
mfs be teleporting and landing the beam then spamming all their other moves
instant kill if paired with angel arrow attack
the genjutsu move
