At least check the trello before making a claim. smh
I did, it didnt show up for some reason
Yep, I think my trello tab is broken, I need a new one
Oh, I didnt scroll down, Im stupid
ik
i just put it bc it sounds like something he would use
he could probably use storm and maybe lunar
Oh wait… oh god
GN/AS people now have a reason to start hunting people, greaaatttt…
Its like pre-Deckhand Update era all over again
they always had a reason to hunt people? in fact their rks actually count as bounty hunt kills so they are even more encouraged to do it
Tbh 600,000 renown tho kinda a lot for a clan that is non customizable and functions the same as normal clans, but the idea is cool to give a reason to join gravy/assyn
Yeah, but its like required for Clan Building for these people. It wasnt as required like it is now
factions can claim islands and i assume you can use your personal funds to build
For a guy who dislikes pvp as a whole, vetex sure likes to feed players more reasons to pvp
Wasn’t this very specifically supposed to not happen???
I’m starting to get the impression the empires update may be borderline inaccessible to non-PvP focused players.
If that’s true and the buildings serve the purposes I expect them to, I’m going to be a bit pissed.
I just hope I’m wrong about the whole thing.
i would say clan building and stuff is more community based, hanging out with your clan mates in the structures you build
Yea but its centered around clans which automatically makes me cautious.
No update involving the clan system since WoM has done anything positive for me and they’ve all actively made my experience in the game worse.
I think Vetex’s aim with the subclans was to bridge the gap between normal clans and factions giving players more incentive to be a part of them because rn, the only reason to be part of gravy / assyn is drip or maybe assyn allowing any player kill to be a hunt. Both of these soley involve renown.
As for subclans, while they do require renown, it allows players to have their own builds and such for the empires update. I don’t think Vet necessarily aimed to incentivise pvp and in fact, even though he said updates won’t be combat focused, this is just a small thing part of the update.
I don’t know if this would be considered a combat focused update since the combat isn’t whats being focused on for the update rather mechanics that intertwine with pvp. Unless combat focused means anything with relation to combat in which I dunno what I’m talking about.
Given that the majority of clan mechanics are based around infamy which is based around PvP I’d say anything involving clans/infamy is combat focused.
Yes there are other ways to gain infamy but those methods suck horribly.
2 infamy from a sealed chest ain’t doing anything
I’m pretty sure “combat focused update” would mean an update focused on updating the combat itself, and from the rest of the paragraph talking about balance changes I think its pretty clear thats what Vetex meant. The update is focused on the building and clan mechanics, but not the combat itself. The content interacts with combat but the combat isn’t the focus of the update which is why its not really a “combat focused update”
To be clear I’m just disagreeing with the notion that this is a combat focused update, I am not agreeing or disagreeing with any other point you made about this.
