SP, and frequency, have a far more, “divine” side to them I’m purposely not elaborating on.
SP doesn’t originate from my universe technically, it doesn’t come from any plane of reality known by the gods or higher beings in a sense.
I guess I just need to understand how an SP ability and a frequency ability are different
also, the aliens have their own phenomenon similar to how humans can “crystalize” with high Prisma proficiency, their version of that is the “halo” effect, which as the name implies, grants them a (usually) average sized halo on different parts of their bodies depending on their typical style of combat or ability usage.
his Prisma ability is abnormally garbage so he basically has to rely on nothing but the environment and a metal bat
I guess he has his friends but for the sake of the plot none of them are really good at controlling their powers yet either (do not listen to ikaeni she really isn’t that skilled at her frequency)
(Tess, despite being an amalgam, literally never uses her abilities for the most part and most of her interesting gimmicks comes from her adventures in capitalism)
to avoid derailment I guess my power system is solid then since I feel like most of my characters aren’t too OP and I think they interact with it fairly well
SP itself still has its own mysteries of course but those aren’t that important… for now.
Does SP…y’know…pass through people after they ingest it, or is it digested in some form? How easy is it to get your hand on some? Are there ever any shortages? Are there any after-effects to using SP, or if it’s overused? Does it react differently to how it’s consumed? (Swallowed vs ingected into the bloodstream, etc)
research has shown it kind of “sits around” in people’s bodies until it’s needed, as it gets absorbed through skin and food and slowly trickles its way into the center of the body.
Depends, crude SP is practically everywhere but laboratory-grade pure SP is quite difficult to find without the proper credentials.
Sometimes, usually when purification companies (which keep their methods EXTREMELY classified) have issues with their machinery or there’s a shipping problem, that’s when shortages of pure SP (the good stuff) happens
it’s basically like mana in a video game in a human
-running out of it causes your ability to be a lot weaker than usual, though you can still use the ability
-your ability is like a muscle! overusing it can cause strain, but with more practice as time goes one, you’ll be able to use it longer without as much SP consumption
No, not really.
Humans and machinery both can produce spent SP when they’ve utilized it in their abilities or when SP is used to generate energy, which is basically useless crude gunk that’s a lot more viscous and less colorful than normal SP found in prismalgams and people.
the center of mass? the center of the torso? the closest available cavity in which it could sit to one of those two? if i throw enough sp at someone does a noticable bump appear where its gathering or something?
I’d assume there’s a certain point where the body stops absorbing SP because it’s “full” and whatever is inside the human doesn’t leave unless it’s forcibly removed or spent through the usage of an ability.
it could also be lingering around in trace amounts inside the cells of people.
