Favorite/Least Favorite Boss in the Game?

I dunno if this has been done before, but I haven’t really talked about it yet, so I’m making this thread.

Out of the bosses I’ve fought, my favorite is probably Lord Elius. He’s never really felt unfair, to and I like all the lightning stuff he’s got going on. Honestly the only times I don’t like him is when he would bug out and stay in 2nd phase permanently lmao

My least favorite, on the other hand, is probably the Christmas Event boss who’s name I can’t remember for the sole reason that she hit like a truck AND had a DoT on top of that.

Also Carina’s regen is devious if you don’t have any DoTs of your own

My fave boss is Elius, assides from the falling off the island the first few times and the difficulty spike, he is pretty fun to fight

My least fave boss: Captain Maria

Calvus is my favorite, he’s the one who feels most like a boss and not just an overleveled enemy, with specific attack patterns and a neat special attack.

Carina on the other hand just feels like you’re fighting a rival NPC but worse.

if you lose track of Carina for one second you’re cooked, if you don’t count event bosses she’s my least favorite (mostly cuz of the regen)

least favorite: carina bcuz she takes so damn long to kill and is just unfun/ has nothing special to her
favorite: maria, because i really like the forest of masts arc and stuff
also her theme is neat

Shura fails as a tutorial boss. Boring, doesn’t do as good of a job as he could on teaching the player, and just isn’t particularly interesting.

Iris is even worse than Shura because she’s the one boss you can beat in a DPS race by using M1s.

Elius is a genuine challenge. Too much of one at where he is in the game, I’d argue, and back to a town takes a long time. He should’ve been easier.

Argos is an AOE spam. Doesn’t feel particularly skillful, but he’s better than the previous ones.

Cenerrio or whatever his name was is just earth magic particles. He barely even deals damage outside of HIS M1 THAT DOES 250 FOR SOME GODFORSAKEN REASON.

Carina is nothing more than an accuracy test and hell for Berserkers.

Calvus is an actual boss, unlike the rest.

Maria… actually, I don’t hate her as much as you guys do. The tentacles are easy to avoid. The invincibility frames are the real issue.

Favourite to fight: Elius

Least favourite to fight: Calvus

Favourite in terms of story: Calvus, and one that hasn’t been release yet

Least favourite in terms of story: I guess Carina since she’s the least plot-relevant in the relative scheme of things, but I see every boss as having a purpose and contributing to the story

Favorite to fight would most honestly be Elius, he’s a good challenge without having to be overly oppressive with attacks

Least favorite would probably go to either cernyx or maria, one is basically just a nukebuffed earth warlock npc and not much else and the other is just a nukebuffed water conjurer with on-damned invincibility

A bit off topic but have anyone noticed that Prince Revon is the only Boss currently who can supercharge his M1s…?

My favorite is 100% Lord Elius. Fun boss overall, a good difficulty spike (compared to those before him, gets you ready for the later bosses difficulty), and has a great soundtrack.

Least favorite is Maria. Between the AI gun M1s (which rarely miss), that one move that causes a ton of debris (which is either very laggy, a smokescreen, or BOTH, dunno if it’s just me), and her I-frame spam which can cause her to deaggro and reset if you’re unlucky enough, she’s just a horrible boss.

favorite boss: the leviathan (dont even need her to be released yet i already know shes gonna be my favorite)

least favorite: probably argos, kinda boring never struggled against him on any file despite his story being really fun, i loved the stealth aspect of talos

fav: hallbjorn (his weapon is cool and i like the idea of fighting an insane guy that escaped the dark seas even though its not out yet)
HATE: maria (self explanatory lmao)_

I’ve farmed Maria by DPS racing with m1s too. I’m not sure it’s viable with every magic, but it’s a really good strategy with Light Magic (last I checked anyway, maybe balancing changed things again idk)

Not sure what my favorites and least favorites but ig i can give you my opinions on the bosses

Main bosses

Shura : he sucks. As the fiest boss, his very underwhelming and the only thing is just move constantly

Iris : m1 spam

Ellios : the first actual good boss imo, he actually a good difficulty spike and become quite a roadblock for new players, though i think its a good thing as this shows that the game is not just a easy walk

Argos : AOE spam is a concept but annoying to say the least, though could be a good way to learn how to block

Carina : she get in the way when i just want to pass by, quite a meh experience im my opinion as she just teleports around and beeing annoying

Calvus : i really like this boss, not a pushover and very impressive, tought player to not only be defensive (that one 500! Attack) and on the agresive, pretty good fight overall and the teleports is not too much to the point of annoying, the attacks are well telegraphed and all attacks have its way to be countered

Maria : shes very cool but can be cheese by not going in the ship on second phase, and honestly immunity (while doing the tentacle attack) is not a good thing, the immunity kinda makes the fight disconnect with the flow as you cant fight her and the tentacle can just be ignored as its not targetting you and only attack certain spot

Side

Cerynx : same issue with argos tbh, just block and retaliate

Minibosses

Kai : only having 2 moves is boring, the only thing he have to his name is his high damage

Merlot : to be honest he is alot better than kai having acess to more moves but still, its just like fighting regular people in the end

Alpha : sorry, whooo?

Amelia : now this boss id actually fun to fight againts like yeah this girl is very scary to fight and having lost magic actually makes up for it, though its annoying that she cant get damaged cause “ouh a simple brick is blocking” is not fun

Kalliste : nothing much to say other than he will be terrifying if theres no literal ocean behind him other than that he just pretty generic with nothing special unlike amelia with ult art surge

Evader : his very cool as to even fight him you need to find him somewhere in the sea, the only one where naval combat is actually used and its very nice to have a change of arena beeing in the boat in middle of an ocean rather, and he having his own weapon ability makes up for it

Valerii : tbh beeing the boss on the last wave of the fortress (which imo the fortress too too long and veeery laggy specially on alot of players) is cool and all but he just undherwhelming in my opinion as he feels like "just a high level mage”

Soo overall my favorite boss would be calvus due his fight is quite telegraphed, meanwhile my least favorite one would be maria due to long immunity
