idk
for all i know the update could be delayed by 5 days for some game breaking bug
I mean true, but I feel like waiting 5 more days for a fix is better than a repeat of the Sunken Incident (YOU ARE MY SPECIALZ)
also i did the math, 1/1500*30 chests per spot is about a 1/50 chance of getting a sunken per spot, so still pretty dang rare
Itâs actually still 1/1500 since the odds donât increase for every chest you get.
But thatâs still less than fishing so itâs much better still.
no im saying assuming you loot every chest 1/1500 rolled 30 times is about 1/50
still you get my point, its still rare enough for traders not to pitch a fit
thats an awful lot of assuming you got there
bro just shut up already lol
and also because you have to actively go and move around the world in order to find that one special fish that you need.
Meanwhile, the only thing you do in Arcane Odyssey is head to an island for a cold/hot freshwater pond, wait for day/night time, and sometimes head to the dark sea.
Besides that, the fishes themselves donât serve a real purpose in general and all feel the same, unless theyâre rare/golden/legendary; Selling them for galleons is both slow and inefficient, the meals that you can make with them are mediocre, and the bones you get from letting them rot are virtually useless with how widely available thornflowers are.
The fact you have to repeatedly ask âbut why are you mentioning rewards!!!â even though Iâve already told you shows a complete unwillingness to even acknowledge my points.
Challenge/Reward balance.
More challenging activity gives more reward, who coulda thought.
Who the hell would make it harder on themselves if they got literally nothing out of it?
This suggestion not only aims to make fishing fun, but also make fishing eat less of the playerâs time.
It doesnât matter how fun it is, it WILL get boring after several thousand tries with no success.
Iâd also like to tell you that I already have the sunkens I want, since you love making assumptions to attempt to paint me in a bad light.
On another note, I also enjoy fishing in games.
However, I have actively TRIED to find a worse fishing system than AO has.
No matter where I look, I canât find anything this bad.
I cannot understand why these people are against AO fishing having more depth than none at all.
The third alternative is forcing players to actively pay attention to a mechanic with no depth. That is what we have right now.
You either make it something that completes borderline automatically so players arenât forced into playing Solâs RNG actively or you give it more depth so that players enjoy interacting with it.
Every solution falls into one of those categories.
If you can find one that does not and actually solves the problem, I am not opposed to that.
You have not done that yet, though.
