I’m not defending it I’m just criticizing your solution to it for having too many features, I even proposed my own solution for it.
I’m just defending the fact that fishing can be simplistic and not be bloated with features like having 4 extra mini games attached to it when it doesn’t need it for an aspect of the game that’s incredibly small scale compared to everything else.
and that “solution” was the exact same thing we already have but with less clicking.
It solves exactly 0 of the problems with fishing that I brought up.
It would still be massively unrewarding, time consuming, and boring.
There would still be basically 0 gameplay attached to it.
Fishing would still be awful, no second way to it.
I don’t see why you’re so happy to accept the absolute bare minimum out of a mechanic and strive for literally nothing more.
Try thinking of some actual solutions instead of saying “well yea there’s probably a couple people who like it as it is so its perfectly fine, just needs a bit less clicking”.
Even if you don’t like my solution, write your own solution.
Except I did write a solution that would make it less tedious to do???
I could make a more refined solution if I was developing this game but my current one works well as a way to make it less tedious but retain its simplicity
From a game design view it’s better to streamline and cut as many features that shouldn’t exist as much as possible to focus on the core aspect of the game.
There’s a lot of things I wouldn’t implement if I was developing AO.
