I like it a lot. Most of my complaints are QOL. You should be able to move your fleet captains around between ships in your fleet, and imo you should be able to command them from the menu.
the notes they send you when they move are annoying and should be toggleable
they move too much so it’s tedious to try and change their tasks

I also think you should be able to change what ship they command that is soo annoying having to call them back, redock the ship, then hire them again, or sometimes it doesn’t even work
I’m fine with having to go somewhere to find your captains, but the way they spam your inbox is just completely irritating.
how many carrier doves do they use?
you should just be able to tell them which island you want them to hang out on and have them stay there
or just make the whole thing UI so that you don’t need to go anywhere just to tell them not to kill themselves
When dismissing a deckhand from the fleet, the dismissal confirmation message should note said deckhand will be permanently lost if your actual ship’s deckhand slots are full.
EDIT: This is not bug reports but I might as well mention there’s a bug where one can subsume a sunk ship into the fleet even if you don’t always have the drachma for it, so long as the prompt appears.
Otherwise no major feedbak beyond what others posted, its a great addition!
It’s really good after the first 4 command ships, but brigs are kinda extinct now ingame

needs to be an easier way to manage your fleet, and restocking their food and supplies costs a lot too. 10k+ for 50% of their food and supplies is wild
it would be nice if all of the commanders stayed in a single camp, having to sail to lerochos and then to windrow just to change the orders can be pretty annoying
I appreciate the whole like Fleet thing
But can there be another way to get Fleet Level?
I dont like having to have Explore, Trade, Fish on my fleets and get them to 100% then spend 15k just to get Level 2 Fleet
Not only i need to manage Strength
But Food and Supplies are EXPENSIVE to refill.
I get we have Plunder/Patrol but Strength would decrease ALOT
So i ask for another way to get Fleet Levels
Because as of rn the best way to do fleets is do 2 Recover and 2 Patrol/Plunder.
ANother thing - I think it would be nice if we could swap ships between the general fleet and Vice-Captain/Fleet Command. So like if I have a brig as part of my general fleet, it’d be nice to swap it with a Vice-Captain ship so the brig becomes a vice-captain ship or smth and the old VC ship joins the general fleet.
give a fleet log when you pause operations, rn it just voids whatever log you had
Right now I believe the biggest issue with the fleet system is the insanely long grind before you’re able to unlock research.
The fleet raven sounds like it would vastly improve the grind so that you aren’t nonstop micromanaging your captains across 4 islands that are changing regularly.
It can be very annoying to deal with this at times and I think getting access to the fleet raven as part of a quest reward or otherwise very early into fleet progression (I’m talking fleet level 2 tops) would vastly change perception about it.
For me personally I’ve been grinding fleets almost nonstop for the last couple days and I’m only at level 3.
The fleet system itself is cool, maybe a bit tedious with its constant messages about where they are but overall a really interesting feature. Like the whole idea of it just cool + passive stuff who doesn’t like that! I love the idea that I can just steal someone ship fix it and make it do stuff for me (Thank you navy and bank for your “donations”).
For making the fleet? Maybe I missed something but it feels a bit confusing? Everyone in my friend group were confused about the system, some of the things are explained by the UI and logbook but it’s just not that clear. Evidence by, one of my friends that didn’t even know they could capture brigs until after they made all their ships ketches despite the logbook implying that its possible to capture brigs. We later got confused by the fact that you can’t change the fleet ship unless you delete it and replace it with a new one that you repair and why deckhands can’t be moved around easily which overall was just kinda dumb.
Spitballing stuff:
Tedious travelling: If vetex doesn’t like the fleet UI doing everything we could message the fleet captain(s) to go a certain island and they just go there to meet them so we don’t have to chase them around everywhere.
Deckhand issue: If possible make them like the crews we have in our ship inventory but for the fleets and make it where we can assign just through the UI maybe its too much idk.
Fleet Cap confusion: Just a simple tooltip in the logbook or maybe just in the fleet UI itself to make its more clear
Fleet Ship confusion: Can just be a ? next to the follower amount saying how much a ship of each type takes
Changing Fleet ships: just like the deckhands add an inventory to the fleet UI thats just a bunch of the captured and repaired ships that can be dragged to a slot to equip it or just the drag part.
It’s incredibly frustrating to micromanage. You’re always running low on something, supplies, food or strength. The fact that supplies and food are so expensive means you’re always going to need 2 command ships on patrol and 2 on strength or something, and even then you’re not going to gain much. I’d see fleets as becoming far more viable if they became either: Less expensive food and supplies or making the regeneration rates for strength faster. The sheer level of messages your captains also gives you gets irritating and it’d also be nice if we somehow had a way of selecting which fleet ships should be part of a certain command detachment.
I think the “hey captain, meet me at _____!” should just be put in the fleet manager in the shipyard tab, instead of in my inbox. Witt is my favorite of my deckhands but he has quickly become my least favorite due to the amount of messages he sends me. It’s really annoying.
Maybe if you have a claimed island, they’ll all meet there instead? Would be nice to have a structure you could build at your claimed island to manage your fleet.
the consumption of food, supplies, and strength makes no sense at all, same with how ships take damage, one day i had 100% supplies and food, next time i checked (about 5 hours later) giving them maybe one command they had 0% and for strength, I had 75-100% strength, for maybe 2-3 days straight and today it went down to 25%. Also 18K FOR A RESTOCK, I LITERALLY CAN BARELY AFORD SHIP REPAIRS.
Honestly I haven’t really gotten into it aside from actually grabbing a couple of ships from pirate farming. I’ve got the same complaints as “TheSkyIdiot” a few QOL changes would be nice since it’d be nice to switch out deckhands quickly instead of having to constantly call them back to and from your crew on each island. If you’re in a guild or clan, it’d be nice to have them hang around on your claimed islands that could function as ports.
