Fleets - is it an issue still, or did it settle after all this time?

The bait-unique fish don’t count towards Ocean’s Archivist, and for a good reason. The badge’s a pain enough as is

Should - yes, but it isn’t possible to do without causing even more harm that it already did. That is why I am attempting a rework with you guys’ help

Galleons

Except those below the max level - don’t make freshies take that hit.

Oh, yeah, those greedy mages in my servers always buy the scrolls from me. For some reason, fighting style users almost never do that. Do with that information what you will

Yeah I wasted too much time on upgrading it, most would probably complain over it like all the metamancers once their favourite magic gets 0.5% dmg nerf

I’m perfectly fine with certain fleet tasks being able to invalidate certain tasks, but only if it is either a monotonous task, or the fleet task generates less of whatever it generates compared to a player who dedicates the same time to get the same resources.

Since if someone wants to just do treasure charts, then go ahead! Your fleet can get fish scales so that you can brew luck potions, you want to sink ships? We’ll go ahead and have your fleet generate drachma for you so that you can repair your boat, you want to just explore the world and visit diving structures? Well let your fleet harvest some reagents so that you can brew water breathing potions!

Random thought but why can’t we just gut the drachma gain from fleet by 90% and instead of drachma for upgrades get some actually entertaining questline?

Quest limit gonna go up to 12 anyways

I feel people would be… confused.
Some folk still call Drachma; Galleons.

Oh, of course.

That’s the problem - it generates more, if you are developed enough

If we gut the gain, it won’t be enough to repair the ships. And, if we make them give just enough money to do repairs + some more, then what is even the point of it giving money?

Hey, we are given an opportunity to revive the old name, why not use it? Besides, galleon is a type of a ship, after all.

We couldn’t rescue lamina, nor crowns, at least galleons will live on

True…
I do miss crowns… :frpensive:

uhhhhh add option to build warehouse for materials, just send them to collect wood and use that to repair ships

We ain’t gambling on deckhands’ poor AI here

it could be a type of recover addition tho since you pretty much recover strenght of entire fleet ships included

I will say that certain tasks should be changed a bit, like trading could do with a little less drachma (I say a little since the exploration task grants valuable armour that can be sold for a fair amount, to the point that it can be good enough to fund the fleet while just generating sealed chests.), fishing definitely needs to have more food generation than recovery or plunder/patrol, conquer or whatever the dark sea one is should have some sort of mechanic where the further you go into the dark sea the more loot you get passively to add a risk versus reward factor, but in turn lower the passive loot when out of the dark sea.

Eh, the changes still keeping drachma around just become either undertuned, or flawed.

In my original set of ideas, I replaced Fishing with Hunting, so it could provide meat and animal drops, excluding Dark Sea ones. Not a lot more useful, but still is above Fishing. As for Conquest - I removed it altogether. Too much invalidation. As I said many times, the Dark Sea will receive a suggestion to solve the issue of players hating the expeditions out there

Even before fleets were added I felt like I was gutting myself by playing on any other slot.

In that case, I’d just remove or severely reduce drachma gain from fleets and replace it with certain fleet-exclusive items

Yeah, that was one of my ideas too, but with the fleet-exclusive currency in between. Remember the shops in Ivoris? I got inspired by how those work. Its basically the same thing for the fleet shop, but it isn’t a place, and rather just a button in the ui. There, you could exchange the currency you earned from your fleet for various items directly - want clearstone? Just buy it! The price will be high to still encourage playing the game and farming them, though. And, there will also be Sir Garen-like shop with some fleet-themed drip

If buying those rare items in bulk will be too op, then we can scrap that idea in place of making that shop sell boss drops instead, with a high price ofc. The combat-proficient may go and grind Ivar for his axes manually, good luck to them.

No I mean the fish with the modifiers
Gemscaled, flame scaled, hard scaled, imbued, mythic, etc

Those ‘special’ modifiers
