yay, I’m thinking crystalized or somewhat
I made this up on a whim and it’s not canon at all
Boss Name: Yumi, The Painter (Level 1000 Paladin)
- Appearance
female, black Hair, pale Skin, average height, red eyes, wears a weird gothic kimono (I don’t know how to describe it?), wears a black ribbon, wears those emo lace-up boots, Arcanium piercings all around her body.
- Origin and boss locations
Immigrant from the Ryujin Dynasty, currently lives in the Dark Sea (can only be found in the far reaches in the Vmir Sea). She’s located on a small Steampunk City type island (similar to New York) where she’s the only inhabitant. This is because she drew the entire Island. If you and your boat enter the Island, it would be put inside a barrier that’s invisible and impervious to outsiders. When the player is done with the island it fades away and despawns for about 2 hours until her island spawns somewhere else in the Dark Sea. Only 1 of her can be spawned in at a time.
- Spirit Weapons
Paint brush and Canvas, she uses the paint brush to paint creatures onto the canvas for the player to fight, and the canvas as a shield to protect herself from harm. She also has an axe that one would use for cutting lumber for some reason
- Magic
Uses Art magic, which is a mutation of Paper and Ink magic mushed up together. It can give a physical form to anything the user draws, (Food, objects, weapons, etc) if combined with Spirit energy (vitality) the user can draw and give life to complex objects and abstract objects (People, creatures, plants, etc)
- backstory
Yumi was a painter looking for art ideas throughout the world (She has the explorer and diver badges of every sea), she had mastered all forms of art and paint expressions in exchange for being weak and crippled, she half of her stats into vitality to make up for it (she’s still physically weaker than a toddler). Yumi was also a creepy sadist serial killer and enjoyed gruesomely torturing and killing people to document their emotions and deaths in the form of art pieces. She also has a lot of money because she can just draw Galleons and rare items to give to herself. One day she got lost in the Dark sea but had a lot of natural warding so she didn’t become an Atlantean, She could draw food so she couldn’t starve, and she’s too weak to ever make it out of the Dark Sea alive. This means that she’s perpetually stuck in the Dark Sea for the rest of her life.
- Dialogue
When found and confronted on her island, she’ll look at the player and won’t say anything, then the player will be given 3 options
-
“Test My Luck,” Yumi will give the player brightly colored apple that she drew, eating it will either 1, give them 5 hour luck that works across servers or 2, kill them instantly and cripple 2/3 of their health for 2 hours (like in the argos fight in the upcoming update)
-
“Draw a picture of me,” Yumi will engulf the player in magic and deal damage to them until the drawing process is done (Player has to have 2.5k health to survive). As a reward for surviving the player is given a legendary crew that is completely made up of living wax clones that resemble the player (They have some of each stat and can use rods that the player has, same amount of health as the player too)
-
“Challenge me,” starts the fight; she’ll respond “ok”
- Boss Mechanics
Yumi stays in one spot for the fight until the very end and will hide behind her paint canvas to protect herself and any attacks sent at her will be reflected at the attacker with double the damage. Every minute or so she’ll draw perspective art which changes the entire area the battle is fought, such areas could include: Elius Arena, Calvus Throne Room, Argos Arena, white/black void, some kind of heavenly area, some kind of hellish area, etc (any creative kind of arena could work). She’ll then start spawning bosses (Each of the bosses take away max health) in a random order and throw axes, when you defeat all the bosses she’s going to try to fight the player herself whilst moving very slowly with her axe but she has 20 health, so she just gets 1 shotted. If there are multiple players then she’s going to have more than 1 boss at a time on the battlefield.
- Mini-Bosses
Oni (Warrior): A demon from folklore, it has Stitched pants and an Asian poncho and uses a mechanical kanobo as its weapon. The Oni has a jump attack, a crushing attack, and a spin attack. It has different modes depending on what mechanics the kanobo is on, which function as Aura and Focus. If the player is launched by any of the attacks then they get fall damage.
Eel (Creature): A metallic Eel (like Onyx from pokemon) combined with a velociraptor it digs and burrows under the ground and tries to jump out and land on the player as an attack, the player is eaten if this attack lands, the ground also turns into a whirlpool when it does this attack (the player can drown in the ground). It also shoots giant laser beams from its mouth. It has a slash attack as well that removes limbs.
Fruit Clock (Warden): The Ackee ( Blighia sapida) is a fruit from Jamaica known for being poisonous but edible if ripe and prepared correctly. This boss is one of those fruits except it has a clock on it (Newgrounds Clock Crew Reference). The boss will move according to what the hands on the clock say. The hour hand dictates the speed, 1 being the slowest and 12 being the fastest. Meanwhile the minute hand dictates where its movements go, 1 is the most predictable and 12 is the most erratic. If it’s 12:00 on the clock then it ripens and splits, heals half of its health, and does 200+ agility movements for a bit. The Fruit Clock has no attacks and can only deal damage by touching the player for a high amount of damage and poison dot.
Giant Skeleton king (also a warden): A giant skeleton with a crown and robe, he’s obese despite being a skeleton and will have a constant black smoky death aura. He will walk slowly and will have other skeletons small - big attacking the players (small is faster but weaker damage, medium is in the middle, and big ones are slower but hit hard). The giant one inches towards you but has a constant death aura that drains hp, it heals from taking your health. The corpses of the skeletons you defeat are just laying there until the Giant skeleton walks near them and revives them.
(Small Skeleton = Vice Captain)
(Medium Skeleton = captain)
(Big Skeleton = Navy Major)
The Mirror (determinate): An exact clone of the player, and uses their loadout as well. They know every ability that the player does and will read inputs for maximum intelligence, they’ll adapt to the player’s playstyle and spam everything they have if it means they can win. Slots with different mentalities and magic will do slightly different things
- Drops
Yumi and the bosses that she spawns each have independent drops from each other. The mini-bosses have a chance to drop any item of any rarity alongside their boss drops (you can potentially get an acrimony). 1 boss will drop 1 legendary, 2 exotics, 3 rares, 4 uncommons, and 5 commons. if you do the math then you’d make a lot of profit from this boss if you’re able to find it
-
Yumi can drop her kimono, boots, ribbon, axe, or piercings. Most of her gear has a high Regeneration as its 1 and only stat the set has. Except her piercings, which has Regeneration, Armor Piercing, and Resistance. The Axe does bleed and blurs the screen.
-
The Oni can drop pants and poncho, which give Power and Armor Piercing. The kanobo can also be dropped as an artisan weapon, which buffs the players lowest stat to the same level of their highest stat (Power and Defense excluded because that would be op)
-
The Eel drops ingredients and exclusive gems instead of armor. The ingredients are just ingredients, and the gem is a combination of every gem in the game into 1 (including painite).
-
The Fruit Clock will drop itself as a 100% drop (The clock itself is a lot rarer). The fruit clock can be made into a dish with good stats and good exp, meanwhile you can use the clock to get a specific gem stat which causes the level on the gear that its equipped on to fluctuate at various intensities in combat depending on how much is equipped. For example if you use an armor piece with its max capped at 120, then at the max amount of fluctuation stat it could go all the way down to level 20 to and then 220 and everything in between randomly with its stats to reflect it (only in a 100 level range from the base power) which makes it a double edged sword in a way. If the gear fluctuation is a making the gear a lower level from the base then it has a slightly higher chance to fluctuate higher as it fluctuates lower and lower. This is the opposite case for higher levels, which would make the gear have a higher chance to fluctuate lower as it gets higher levels. This stat would be good for people who are insane and like drawback but don’t like losing health every attack. It also adds a bit of uncertainty for the user.
-
The Skeleton King will drop his Crown and Robe, which will give power and intensity. This will work fine as replacements for Arcsphere since it got nerfed for non magic builds.
-
Mirror will just drop anything that the Player already has in their inventory.
Thanks for listening to my Ted Talk, make sure to greenlight on Steam please (joke)
Bro actually designed the entire boss fight.
That said, I ain’t readin allthat.
Wait ngl this might actually be good
A god type boss maybe? You currently can’t damage it as the weakling you are, but later in the game you’d fight them. It’s not really a boss, just a trial type thing, possibly. Escaping it would be part. Idk abt the rest of the trial or anything or what it would even be for.
A high level conjurer that’d use their magic to make weapons instead of imbueding existing ones, someone who had history in making very good weapons like a well respected blacksmith. They’d likely have a solid magic like metal or a lost magic of some kind. The weapons could change size and shape allowing for some really interesting attacks, all of their ranged attacks would be in the shape of some weapon.
The boss itself wouldn’t really be an enemy more of a side challange, this blacksmith while known for his exceptional blacksmithing skills, were also quite a skilled fighter before they choose blacksmithing as their job. They’d be quite old but still a powerful enemy. The reason you’d actually fight them would be because of the player seeking more things to learn, and this fine fella would simply be quite bored and since they sensed the player being quite powerful they’d propose a challange to the player. That if the player can beat them in a duel they’ll share their ways of fighting
As for the ability it would unlock, it’d unlock a new ability specifically for conjurers which would allow them to do what the blacksmith does, making their own weapons out of magic. Something like a spell scroll except for that it’s not luck based. Once casted the abilities will change to the weapon abilities which would be customizable in names, keybinds and such. You would not be able to cast other spells with the same magic if a weapon is casted, once it’s cast away it’d return to the normal abilities. The weapon abilities would have a weapon and magic skill requirement to use.
sounds like a later-on boss fight(s), I like it
hey I had a suggestion idea regarding magic weapons
Ooh yeah, making weapons out of a solid magic has always been one of my favorite concepts (I suffer through playing as a metal conjurer in-game because the lore idea is cool)
Legendary beast attlantean adkins
adding onto environmental stuffs,… i was thinking like argos could charge at you in one attack and it could break the pillars in the room to give you a short period of time where you could damage him,.,. woa.
oh yeah there is a cheese rn where you can juke him into the hallway and kill him with magic blasts or projectiles lol, cuz the wall to the hallway is indestrucable
stupid old man needs glasses,.,.,
so real, he just like
yeah try that out next playthrough, you still get bragging rights for beating him 1st try ig…
wait i have a video for this, lemme show you, he just gets juked halfway through…
but ill upload it later when I can convert roblox files to mp4… lol…
a dragon boss that randomly spawns in the world on a random wilderness island (it would fly around and land somtimes so strength builds could hit it)and it would shoot fire balls out of its mouth and when its on the ground it would shoot a big flame thrower move and when it lands it does a little shockwave
DRAKOS ARCH (also yey ender dragon for ao i like the idea…) what will da drops be
idk maybe scales and horns and teeth (potion ingrediants) and then dragon armor made out of the scales then maybe surge
yeah i had that in mind
