A giant ship we gotta fight for a story mission. No reason, just would be funny to fist fight.
so like a Fenrir boss fight
The Potionmaster. He has Acid or Poison magic, but mainly fights by throwing lots of high-tier potions at you. Drops random potions/potion ingredients. He would be a side boss and when I first got the idea I saw him in a swamp island like in Forest of Cerruno.
NARCISSUS
“It’s only you.”
A rare wandering miniboss that appears to copy the form and build of the first player it sees. its base form appears to be some sort of mysterious spirit weapon laying dormantly on the ground, ready to fool any unsuspecting adventurer…
Defeating Narcissus awards the user with a fractured mirror known simply as “Gazer’s folly”. A strange spirit weapon that mimics the properties of crystal magic.
Ruthless-exclusive boss fight.
…You killed his children. Now he’s mad.
BEHOLD, THE ONE AND ONLY:
Lord Ulcrius, the Bronze Hound
[— 4000/4000 —]
Phase 1:
idk what moves he would use but he is much more dripped out and improved from when we last saw him
“I knew from the beginning something was strange about you… You won’t be spilling my blood so easily.”
Phase 2:
again im lazy and may add some more stuff
“Your power is to be reckoned with… Very well, then… allow me to show you the true strength of the Bronze Hound!”
I imagine a boss we’d see in Corsair County to have the water curse, hes really strong and uses his water curse and different magic, probably Lubrin D. Roy, or something like that, his fight place is probably like a galleon shipwreck and in the island cluster, we fight him first time, and then next time we fight him in his kingdom he made for himself, I feel he would be an order boss, AND one of the six Corsairs.
This is ur 5th time at this point
Holy shit this is cool ngl
It’d probably be a water spirit weapon tho since the original myth is that Narcissus died via drowning in a river trying to kiss his reflection iirc
And his boss fight is unwinnable and he’s stronger than chaos and creation combined and he is actually the one who really made the AU world but just lets creation and chaos pretend that they did it cause he’s so generous and he has a dark and mysterious back story and is a total loner but is also a lovable goofball and friends with everyone
Do you like my bossfight
The concept is pretty cool even if the “boss that is you” is pretty well used its usually still cool and the little bit of lore you made for it both makes sense and is also pretty neat. I do feel like something more clever could be done with the spirit weapon reward other than just being a spirit weapon equivalent to water magic, but exactly what and how it would fit in with the rest of the game’s mechanics I’m not sure at the moment.
I mean in defense of the “spirit equivalent to water magic”, isn’t that just what eagle patrimony is with lightning magic?
I’d assume the imbue affinities aren’t the same as the patrimony tho, maybe it doesn’t change speed, slightly lowers damage (since it balances out lightning paladins possibly becoming nightmares) and slightly boosts size.
The skills would probably be different too (exceptions for spirit blast because iirc that skill is on every single spirit weapon intentionally)
as for the god who blessed the mirror itself I’m teetering on aphrodite or narcissus himself since some people consider him as the god of vanity
i hate to be that guy but cursebeard had the water curse
it’s okay we can just retcon cursebeard because Vetex doesn’t like cool things
actually cursebeard is the one character he said he will never retcon because hes just that guy
Can we get much higher?
so high…
oh oh oh, oh oh ohhhh~
huh?
I mean you’re just sitting on a cool concept here, the water thing on its own isn’t bad I suppose, but coming from an enemy that copies you I feel like there’s some real potential for something pretty cool here. Like at least elaborate on what unique move this spirit weapon would have because that’s the most interesting part. I also personally think the spirit weapon from a boss that mimicks you should probably have an affinity based on you in someway, but if you would take your more greek mythology ruled route I wouldn’t say it would be worse off because of it.
no no, I mean like after Cursebeard died he obtained it
its only been like a few months after he died
