For those who "quit" arcane odyssey (possible player feedback for vetex (?))

probably reiterating most of the posts here but

meaningless time wastes

things like professions, dragons, lost knowledge, fleets, etc. feel like theyre only there to waste my time. ESPECIALLY with profession xp decreasing the more leveled professions you have. that just feels so incredibly disrespectful

game boring

there just isnt any really enjoyable content. everything is either inherently unfun (charts, ds, etc) or it’s ruined by other parts of the game

performance

performance has taken a nose dive for me, and the experience overall is far worse for it.

updates

they take forever and add like 2 hours of content max. something something nothing ever happens

too many things and not enough good things

feature creep bad (applause)

roblox pilgrammed better

there are many other games that i enjoy far more than ao. when given the choice i will pretty much always pick the other games

agreed

I mean
WOOOOOOOOOOOO YEAHHH

  • Abhorrent balance changes left right and centre
  • PvP Toggle
  • Every single side of the community is insufferable in their own way
  • The majority of the game moderation team is atrocious at their job and I’ve had countless foul experiences with them over the last 3 years
  • Clan features like Naval/Clan Wars not being used at all, I was one of the bigger clan owners who was adamant to use this feature
  • The time between updates is atrocious, and when updates do drop it’s usually at a time where the majority of the playerbase is still in school term or for those in higher education (myself and a lot of my guild members), it’s usually exam season
  • Too many other underused or unneeded features that could’ve been added later on in favour of story updates (namely the Dark Sea in it’s entirety, that entire update could’ve been introduced later in favour of more story)
  • Lack of virtually anything for the builds I play (Conjurer & Savant)

best thing added to the game

for some people i get why they like it so much but i dislike it heavily :man_shrugging:
all just depends on what you spend your time doing ingame and what you enjoy

As a person who fears missing out and is a hoarder (worse nerf to myself), progressing files that isn’t my main really feels like I’m losing out on a lot of benefits. Professions and fleet really screwed me over with how I progress with files since the amount of profit, bonuses, and advantages you get from maxing out nearly every feature/system in the game feels exceptionally great to the point if I don’t play on my main file, I’m losing out on substantial amount of value. Not to mention what it takes to max out all those features. Not progressing them either also feels like you’re losing out on advantages, main or not.

Profession, fleets, and talents take an absurd amount of time to complete and when you do, you’re gaining permanent and passively active buffs that benefit you and each update keeps adding onto that/adding more features. Apophis is a minor example here but that really felt like a requirement since it gave you extra base health and beast defense permanently, not doing Apophis feels like you’re shooting yourself in the leg. (This is considering that we aren’t even suppose to fight Apophis, why was Apophis even added? What was the point if we weren’t even suppose to fight her at our current level?)
