Fort Castrum is... frustrating

bro is spamming javelin like there’s no tomorrow

also, they’re a surge user :joy: instant low tier fodder

Taking 400 damages every 2 seconds because there’s 6 ennemies on your ass isn’t the most balanced thing I saw recently

Dude there were only 3 of us, by wave 4 half of the roster was level 160 centurions.

A worthy punishment for not finding the wall-bound centurion

The last centurion on I kid you not, WAVE NINE

yeah i was doing a raid with 2 other people, and it was going just swimmingly… and then a 4th random joined and we proceeded to get cooked

FUCK that random who joined us btw

lost to bugged boss one time… must cope by sending out a message to online strangers…

Vetex is actually trolling with this

i tried to beat Castrum with 6 other random ppl and it got extremely laggy (less than 10 fps), im on lowest graphics and the amount of attacks being used still lagged me to unplayability. Also on wave 2 it spawns like a horde of level 200s when our level cap is 140 :skull:

Yeah I think the scaling is kind of off for both this and honestly bosses too. The health and whatever else being multiplied by the number of people is more than whats necessary imo. Not to say that they shouldn’t get buffed with more people but I think the size of the buff per person might be a bit too much. Like you said level 200s(that aren’t even the boss) while the players cap out at 140 is pretty ridiculous.

it shouldnt buff the level as much, maybe 5% per person with 40% max

Beat it solo for the first time yesterday, I dunno if it was worth it. It was really tedious, most of the items I got were meh, and I didn’t get any of the boss drops. Not getting any boss drops really sucked, this is probably the only boss I’d say should have a 100% drop rate or at least somewhere between 50-75% because of all the crap you gotta do to kill him. The raid probably would’ve been a lot more fun to play with other people, but because the scaling is so extreme it just gets less fun the more people you have.

If the scaling on the raid were like this(bosses could probably get a decent chunk more than this and be fine, they’re not too bad even with current scaling) it’d definitely be a lot more fun, probably one of the most enjoyable parts of the game. Should still be a bit challenging, though if not there’s still a lot of wriggle room between this and the current scaling, and it’d feel fairly rewarding.

This is why you don’t add last minute major features that have been barely tested

The scaling is absurd

one time i got the whole server one a single raid

they had miniboss healthbars by wave 4

I find it extremely optimal when youre soloing castrum… Its the PERFECT challenge and it doesnt get too laggy.

I also feel like NPCs get stuck less? Im quite unsure. I feel like it should be easier with a team but it doesnt seem that way

When you advertise something as a raid yet the most effective way to deal with it is to solo

Ya… Its pretty weird, the hardest part is bombarding castrum with cannonballs

Valerii if a very fun miniboss though

as a warrior with plunderers it was pretty good

in my first attempt a noob joined me and while he kept dying over and over, we still managed to win

in my second attempt it was me and this time two other people, the enemies were endless, it was unwinnable lol

in conclusion, 1-2 players is key

i wonder how effective a size-sunken staff build is here

fort castrum is actually relatively easy when you get the hang of it, all you gotta do is jump and dash to the other side of the fort when you’re getting low there will be no enemies there.

The only problem is that one lost dude, the GOOD thing is that after a while they’ll respawn so find and kill him when he does.

Having too many players is usually what makes fort castrum hard.
Though I don’t really mind the difficulty(Despite the fact that the rewards are ASS when you complete it)
It’s accurate to the lore standard and would make sense that there’s a major amount of high level centeriouns. The problem still is optimization.
