Fort Castrum is... frustrating

i feel like instead of random modified items (or maybe alongside them) you should be able to get essence for the modifiers just like atlantean essence

random modified items sounds like a horrible reward for whats supposed to be one of the most complicated challenging fights in the game currently, so if anything fort castrum should have something else as a reward at the very least

(but at the same time dont make it like Deepwoken, where doing like Diluvian Mechanism can get you literally almost every item you could possibly need in the game)

i feel like soloing should be the significantly harder option with higher rewards as a result, instead of actually being the easier way to do it

fighting with a group would be easier but each person would get less too

honestly, the size sunken staff is not that great for fort castrum. Theres this very annoying thing that happens where the npcs have the same anti cheese the minibosses have so you can’t hit them if they’re behind a wall. Which sounds reasonable but ive run into moments where the npcs are kind of just laying in the destroyed ground while walking into the edge of where the destruction stops which kind of renders them immune to damage until they finally hop over. its kind of hard to explain so ill put this image up:

i completely agree, only minibosses should have the anti cheese

And Atlanteans

Nothing else though

this also contributing to the infamous “fort castrum’s defenses have recovered” when you are unable to hit the 1 remaining enemy that got stuck in a wall

Still have no idea why they were given the atlantean immunity thingo

I can hit Atlanteans through walls better than I can Amelia, so idk what y’all mean.

atlanteans used to have the wall protection
now the fucking basic npcs in castrum do :sob:

Ah, that’s right. I forgor!!

Honestly there’s two options for this, either remove floor destruction or just remove their goofy ahh immunity.

Basic npcs SHOULD NOT have that kind of immunity

yea i just played it again and my greataxe did not do any damage unless there was line of sight at impact

this is even more of an issue because npcs can get stuck in walls and your attacks wont reveal them easily

plunderers still dominate though
