In the end, they probably lose to each other (considering both are the butt-monkeys in the AO universe for no apparent reason), smoke that last bag of Mary Jane and laugh like goofballs till they get the super munchies because they smoked a particularly loud boof.
So… I’m working on a little something.
Some people may know, but I’m making an epic shield to kick Stellari’s bum because I thought it’d be cool if I happened to own one, even if it’s just cardboard, toothpicks and paper.
I made up a concept design for this and would like to hear some thoughts (and maybe suggestions) that you can offer. I want to make it look cool but still keep it simple. I chose this design of sun rays coming from the middle, fading to reveal some “prayers of encouragement”. Of course, the text will be much smaller on the shield so that it doesn’t look tacky.
Another thing about these prayers is that I wanna make them be written in the Latgalian language (which is an older version of the current Latvian language used in the more ancient times). But for now, since this is a concept design that I want to be receive feedback for and because I don’t speak Latgalian, I wrote them in English.

Here is the progress so far:
This is the current face of the shield. As of now, I’m just layering this thing with toilet paper dampened with glue water to make it thicker and hide the imperfections in the base. Other details aren’t made yet.
And here’s the back! I plastered it with those long toothpick thingies so it doesn’t bend. Now it’s more sturdy and doesn’t feel as cardboardy…

This is cool as hell, and very interesting stuff.
The actual craft work is creative, and I like how you’ve used the materials you had available for this!
only major critique is that you may wanna layer up on the TP for this, if you’re applying a paint to it. Toilet paper doesn’t tend to like any liquids, and will have its structure weaken from them, alongside just becoming translucent.

I’m back with an update on the shield baby!!!
So - some more work was done with it. While I posted smaller, bite-sized updates in the discord art hub, I decided to make more substantial ones here.
Since my last update I have:

Added more TP

Made the shield more sturdy by gluing more long toothpicks on the back (it doesn’t bend anymore woohoo!)

Got my hands on some more cardboard and added in some details

Covered the entire thing in primer

Started the painting process
-
Begun making the handle for the shield
That’s about for the updates, so far I like how it’s going and I have a clear view of what I want the shield to look like when I’m done. Hopefully I’ll be able to live up to my expectations
