Full Release Clans, Guilds and Lore Organisations

I’m quite into these aspects as these have been the main factors keeping me ingame. The idea of climbing the ranks of an organisation or making a popular clan specifically. I wanted to discuss how clans and guilds could have a third type of coalition that entails both PvP and PvE, but less individual gain for each of them. Also wanted to get opinions or facts on how the new organisations would work leaderboard or rank wise.

Guilds can have both PvP on and off players, Clans have everyone with PvP on, but can still partake in PvP if they wish.

In terms of how they would work I’d say it’s quite simple and would work the same way the current leaderboard works. Clans climb the ranks with renown via PvP while guilds use PvE methods to gain renown and rise the ranks.

im talking about PvP and PvE methods of infamy gain and net positives for the clan

Methods of infamy gain would for clans would be this: Clan wars, island claiming bounty/assassinations, naval warfare and more. Guilds would be these: Doing underwater structures, opening sealed chests, sinking NPC ships etc.

i think the concept of leaderboards and organisations have something to do with lore though, so significancy could matter on the decision of whether they may or may not have a leaderboard (?)

We actually see bounty posters lore-wise but they function kind of separate imo. You have the player boards and then there’s the lore-wise NPC one’s you sometimes see around the game. For example there’s a bounty poster for a serial killer in shieldguard by a navy major talking about them.

I guess but with the PvP toggle that just doesn’t make sense. It’d be an organizing nightmare too considering you’d be changing from PvP to PvE whenever you feel like it which would never give you a stable clan image because you’re changing the things you do. I just think it’s more balanced that we have guilds and clans tbh because that’d complicate things a lot more.

We already have those in the syndicate and navy so it’d just be the same thing but for clans

nope, it’d literally just be the same as clans are right now but less net infamy gain from pve and pvp. w/o toggle aswell

Oh my bad. Still I think it would work the same but it’s PvP methods instead. It’d most likely be for roleplay or more organizing I believe.

Oh without toggle I see… Eh personally I don’t know how that would work for the leaderboard tbh. It would be too overpowered imo if they were on a leaderboard as they have 2 methods even if one gives less they still have one.

wdym by pvp methods? also i doubt people are gonna roleplay without action in this game

Sinking player ships? Bounty hunting/Assassinations, claiming islands etc.

Yeah I didn’t mean full on serious roleplay but I was thinking it would be more catered to organizing needs.

but that wouldnt be a thing for a PvE guild subclan no?
