Full Release Update Patch Notes (Discussion Thread) (Part 2)

No I’m pretty sure you can’t continue the storyline until you do that quest

It’s part of the main storyline itself, it can’t be skipped at all. Also when you get the quest, it states that you have to do it before moving forward

There are several topics on it. This suggestion on it I made is focused on noting some issues with Vetex’s plans and proposes a bunch of better solutions in the first message and the replies here and there. There are a bajillion reasons why replacing agility with some kind of homing-like stat is a terrible idea all clearly laid out here. Fixing agility is not hopeless and you do not have to completely disable it in combat to effectively fix it in PVP. Literally only 4 people that voted on that topic are in favor of accuracy, that’s 12% of the votes. In other words, 9/10 people are against the idea. If Vetex goes through with this change it’ll be right up there in controversy with the non-cosmetic cosmetics nonsense, possibly even worse.

A decent reduction in scaling when combat starts, some content designed to counter high agility players, heavily incentivizing using duels for PVP, and the exhaustion mechanic outlined in the balance trello are all fantastic ways of fixing it that don’t involve completely replacing a main gear stat!

thank god
no more builds where they can hit you a few times, take ONE hit, and immediately run for 3 years to heal with their 200 regen in an endless cycle till you die

I havent seen any high regen + high agility builds at all tbh.

Same here honestly. Worst I’ve seen was a lightning conjurer that kept using some teleporting attacks and running off when I got a solid hit in. Didn’t seem to heal much to me though. Would have been so much easier to deal with if any of the suggestions I laid out in that topic were in the game, without needing to remove a whole ass gear stat from the game.

alot of leaderboard players run them
literally ANY mage player on leaderboard is either running
A - size
B - agility regen
there is no other option for them

does the build somehow not lose out on power or defense at all? Can you slide one of these builds over to me rq?

it loses out on defense but that doesn’t matter when you can cross an island in half a second and regenerate your health way faster

Half a second? My guy are they running 600 agility or something? I recognize that people running off to heal is a problem that I myself have run into but it certainly never gets that bad.

agility is VERY much a problem, because they can run that far that fast with just 300.
as of right now, if you want to be on leaderboard you NEED to have attacks that are undodgeable (high size), or the ability to be impossible to catch (high agility).

just make agility not increase your dash distance

Or you know, remove it like vetex is going to do.

I NEED MY INSTANT HIGH JUMPS

Gem effect.

how?
it wouldn’t make sense to just have a gem effect that just gives it to you, since that would be way too small of an investment.
maybe a high jump speed increasing gem effect, which gives that after a certain percentage, but what reagent would have that as an effect? not gale reagents because those are knockback already, not agility reagents, because those are climbing speed, and I don’t think any other reagents from the current pool would fit at all.
maybe climbing speed gets expanded to also give high jump speed, and after a certain point it becomes instant?

Gem agility, you’ll still get the effect of high jumps at a certain point.

Tbh even as an agility enjoyer myself (the rushdown kind), I can still understand removing agility from the game with how it encourages running; however, I’m still really iffy on the proposed replacement stat for it, as the accuracy stat idea is incredibly annoying in its own right, arguably more than agility imo.

Honestly, i feel that the stat is just a temporary idea because Vetex just needs to ensure us that Agility wont just be removed from gears and nobody gets anything else. I feel like it just still needs time for use to get an actual idea for a balanced stat.

what even is the point anyway? what is the point of removing agility and replacing it with something that is essentially the same damn thing. “yes i’m replacing agility with a gem effect that does the same thing except it doesn’t work in combat” (i think)

why waste time replacing agility? just make it not work in combat problem solved
