Guards npcs imo should be honestly not one-shottable. Make like ensigns or legioners
iirc they’re the same level as a ravenna ensign or low rank marine (15)
meaning you can one shot them, but only at max level with good gear
about 100 posts late but i hate how much people talk about “bad optimization” in AO even though this game has so much optimization already
with the amount of things going on in a single server its actually incredible this game is even playable and not super laggy
with that being said the amount of things also makes memory leaks an even bigger issue than they are normally
i feel like most people tend to just use “optimization” as a catch-all term that just means “the game is laggy please fix it” (understandable but when people push that usage like its 100% correct it becomes an issue, and that seems to be what most of these people do as well)

Thinking about the actual purpose of the name changes.
They ain’t even that great for what they do.
If you want class names that are identical to what somebody would call you in-universe, then add terms for that sort of thing.
Make the NPCs say “Ah, you’re a Conjurer?” if you want them to be accurate to what the NPCs would say, because currently, the NPCs DON’T say.
And the changed names still aren’t great for this. You could get away with Fighter, maybe even Strong Warrior, but Fighting Mage? Who would say that?
Weapon Oracle? Who would say that?
Oracle Mage? WHO would SAY THAT?

I feel like the woman town NPCs shouldn’t have the boob torso.
For one, players can’t use boobs with those torsos, neither do any of the existing stationary NPCs, including Nilah.
Two, gooners will be all over, bruh.
