So I wanted to see if Morden’s eyes were fixed yet, because I thought they were supposed to be, so I hopped onto my file that still has Morden on the ship.
No shoulder texture, but seems normal
(till the very next frame, bom bom bom ba dom)
Suddenly Morden’s shirt textures unload, leaving me to see his shirt taking on the colors of Cernyx’s garb.
and more shockingly… he’s buff under those sleeves!
He has a buff texture!
Comparing the face, you’ll see that his eye texture has gone from pitch black to brown, so technically he has eyes I guess that means, they’re just colored completely black.
Weirdly he also seems to have a scar texture under his eyes now.
If we look at his pants, there’s a texture that doesn’t even fit on it.
So then I had to wonder, what on earth would all this extra stuff be coming from? Then it dawned on me, the game is taking Cernyx’s textures, and slapping them onto Morden.
Don’t ask me the odds that Morden just happened to be wearing the same torso mesh as the character that overrode him for a moment.
But yeah, it’s Cernyx, just look at him.
I wonder how that happens.
So, sadly, Morden is not secretly buff, basically all of my discoveries here were just a texture error, but that’s fun.
I could’ve sworn that Vetex said curse user’s eyes don’t change until they’ve had the curse for a decent amount of time, but let me check to make sure.
Well that first depends if they were lucky enough to get curse inheritance cause you don’t automatically get curse inheritance just cause your parent or ancestor had a curse. Think like Neviro who’s parents were excited to see he had darkness inheritance which they probably wouldn’t have been if it was guaranteed. Maybe it’s different with the children of the curse user than further descendants, but even if it’s more likely I still don’t think it’s a guarantee. Aside from that I dunno I’d say the curse overrides the inheritance like you said.
