General Argos is a really fun boss

He’s actually really fun, and feels fair to play against, though the shockwaves do make it a bit hard to see
This just makes me even more disappointed about Elius, who I felt was much harder to deal with due to moveset + the arena

Agreed, Argos fight and the entirety of Fort Talos storyline has to be my favourite one because of how fun and engaging it was.

I had so much more trouble with argos than elius.

Elius got really predictable really quickly and I figured out the best times to attack him early.
Argos is a chaotic mess and I still don’t understand what I did to win.

Yeah I found Argus a lot harder than elius however i didn’t get mad the same way I did when I fought elius, Argus just felt a lot more fair and was definitely a better designed boss

Argos and Elius were great fun, after that the next boss is… okay. I’m a fighting style person so I HATE arenas with destructable floors. Forces you to float when you are trying to punch, which eats magic energy you would otherwise use for techniques.

The final boss however, could do with some damage nerfs. He hits biblically hard for no reason. Would not have beaten him if I didn’t have a friend.

I feel like the final boss’ damage would be fine if we had better ways to negate/reduce damage.
As a warlock blocking for 50% resistance simply is not enough.

For me, I personally do not like bosses that reposition constantly/have little grace time to strike back. It makes it incredibly frustrating and usually forces me to overlevel (which I can’t for last boss obviously) in order to make up the difference.

For me as a Warlock he’s not the worst thing in the world, I just really wish stat reallocation was a thing because I didn’t get the 120 shot skill and I feel that woulda really helped my damage output.

I don’t think the shot skill is what should be saving you there, I think, as a warlock, that should be your magic blast lol.

Remember, you DO have both.

I do use it, it’s just that I can’t use most of my fighting style moves. Dashing at him with crash usually ends in damage trade, rush attacks don’t work on the leaders, aoe is fine but not exactly the damage I’m looking for. Just feels my mage options are better- which is why I think bosses should have greater grace time for melee attacks but that’s just me.

Argos and fort talos was really one of the best parts of the story, he’s really badass and instead of being really frustrated with elius and his really janky arena, I had a genuinely good time with Argos and his patterns.

  • Argos arena was so simple for this boss fight, made the fight much nicer than Elius arena

Argos gets very predictable in his last phase, since he does the same attack pattern of ranged slashes, some kind of pulling force and then that million slash thing, where you can just walk out, get free heals/charge and wait until he drops in the middle of the attack area to attack him

argos was indeed very fun, i asked for help beating him (skill issue+unoptimized build) but he seemed very well-designed, i managed to get him down to 1/4 health by getting used to his attacks despite having underleveled gear at the time, i just wish u could leave his area to farm levels then come back.

forgot to reply to this, but i think elius would be pretty fun to fight if the arena floor was unbreakable (or the floating tile things broke too), and his lightning/rain effects obscured him less (it’s fine if you turn down your graphics to 1, so that’s what i’ve been doing to farm him.

I swear my favorite bosses were the two the community hated the most, my biggest issue with either of them is how time consuming it is to get to Ellius’s arena. It’s gotta just be a difference in mindset. Like a willingness to struggle to figure out how to come out on top.

Argos is fun, I was getting used to the patterns and recognising when he would dash to me, and then all of a sudden the third stage activated and it totally threw me off. I was at around 200 hp for the whole fight, so it made it seem as if one mistake could kill me, and that was just so fun. Also his entrance is just amazing.

Beat Argos first try, still haven’t defeated Elius properly (his AI was bugged when I killed him in story)

I have tried to place it on his island everywhere and I cannot, any other island up there you don’t have a sky boat spawn

Yeah, I actually enjoyed farming Argos and his drops were good. I feel that he’s a bit weak though, because he deals low damage along with easy moves that are super punishable.
