Then they both band together to find the culprit behind the crimes. (It wasn’t who they expected.)
Backstory for my Warlord “Iron Steel”:
Erwen (don’t know last name yet, still deciding), who is known as Iron Steel in many newspapers is a 78 year-old retired explorer. His first memories are from sailing with his father as a young child, although he can barely remember this. Knowing practically nothing sensible as a child, he attempted to try to sail a small vessel that his father owned. Unsurprisingly, Erwen dropped the sails and got them caught on something, and due to his lack of strength was unable to raise the sails back up. Erwen screamed for someone to help him but he was already far away from shore and after days of sailing (and starving), eventually crashed into Harvest Island. Erwen searched the island for any signs of humans, and after managing to find none, gave up and searched for food. He gathered mushrooms and looked for any food crates around and stored them near the crashed ship. After days of just living at Harvest Island, Erwen eventually saw a ship nearby. He screamed for the ship and prayed that it would hear him, and thankfully, it did. It was a ship led by a notable hero, Traj, who had mastered the fighting style Iron Leg. When Traj found Erwen, Erwen explained his situation to him. Traj felt pity on Erwen, so he decided to invite him along his ship until he could be returned to his father. As Erwen and Traj sailed together, Traj taught Erwen a little bit about Iron Leg. For some odd reason, Traj couldn’t seem to find Erwen’s father, even after a few months of traveling. Erwen became attached to Traj, and wanted Traj to teach him everything about Iron Leg, as he was very interested in it. A few years pass and Erwen has become a decently powerful teenager. He has practiced Iron Leg under Traj for a few years now so he is well-known by all of the crew and gets overconfident in his abilities. Erwen decides to challenge Traj to a duel to test his abilities, and Traj doesn’t agree. Instead, Traj teaches Erwen about the world, and the many islands that inhabit it. Erwen becomes interested in this and begins to constantly ask Traj about the world.
I’m gonna stop writing here but the rest of the story is basically:
Erwen eventually leaves Traj, going to find out more about the world.

Erwen learns how to use weapons through another mentor (dunno who).
Erwen eventually becomes well-known as an explorer and goes under the alias “Iron Steel”.
Later in life after exploring most of the Bronze Sea finds Harvest Island again and meets a young Sarlovèze (Iron Leg Mentor) and teaches him about Iron Leg.
Erwen eventually meets his wife (dunno name) and has a child who they named Stella + (Erwen’s last name).
Stella eventually leaves home and becomes a villain known as “Stella Steel” taking after her father.
Erwen, disappointed in Stella, goes on a journey to find her, promising his wife to bring her back.
Erwen joins the guild “Sailor’s Symphony” after a long time of retirement and becomes the oldest member there.

A pirate that was never able to use magic had their captains ship get struck by lightning and was the only survivor. When he woke up he was on the shore of Summer hold,had a scar near his eye and could use lightning magic. He then spend months in wom getting stronger with his magic until he was getting bored of finding peoples hats only for them to lose them a second later. He was at the bar in summer hold when the bartender gave him a galleon and told him about the war seas. Seeming like it would be a great change of pace and a good adventure he set out to the war seas and from there would get much stronger and would become a notorious pirate captain.

WoM and AO take place in two completely different parts in the timeline. By the time AO was happening, the continent in WoM didn’t exist.

I long since abandoned the previous backstories for my AO character.
He was born normally, lived a normal life, then one day he killed a bandit, some time later and now he’s a mass murderer with no regard for human life.

Kinda deep and creepy ,but good 
my ao character had an actual family but never mentioned it (if they were looking for people like him why would he just go ‘oh yea i got a sister you can kidnap her too’)
throughout the story he loses his left eye in julians attack
gets a lightning strike scar from his rival
and reconnects with his older sister who is now an assassin

A monk who has become one with the way of wood (and a criminal backstory) joined the navy looking for strong opponents and to rise the ranks!
Gramps wants fire magic, gets explosion, the rest is history. Also he is wanted for a mild amount of tomfoolery.
Wel then… time to put “eigth-grader syndrome” to good use.
(Side Note: I picture this femboy as a her instead of a he, so I shall use she/her to replace she(he)/her(him) cuz I’m lazy)
Sebastian Banks, who is actually a merging of 2 people after she runs from the Order of Aesir and loses her memory…
Those 2 people being Sebastian Banks herself, and a person from Earth, or real life as some would call it, for now we shall call him Mr. RL(things get real cringy here)
Sebastian, who didn’t have an obbsession over girly stuff, nor had a femoboy personality, was just an ordinary boy of 15 who just discovered he could use Shadow Magic and someone who strives to become a very adept user, perhaps the best, just as all magic users dream of become it.
He lives with his family, a single child he was, with both of his parents. One day, on their way to Ravenna for their long vacation, suddendly the seas raged, thunder cracked,
winds bellowed. Sharks rushed the boat and tore holes in it. Sebastian, who was standing on the deck, was knocked out by a peice of flying derbis. A ship in the distance, boasting a purple flag.
It was rumored that he saw nightmares of needles in his legs, bleeding… hurting…
Mr. RL, he went to school like any average 15 year old would. Did his homework, went to sleep, repeated the cycle. Well, perhaps a little less average, he didn’t have many friends, coincidently they were all girls. For some reason he never really got along wiht guys. It’s not that he was girly or had an excuse to not be liked, it just… sort of happened. When he got home he would play games with characters that wore maid-dresses. Call it an obsession if you would. Whether it was a gal-game or your classic gacha if there was a character with a maid dress he would be there.
One day(Cringe Warning) on his way walking to school. A truck ran into him. He was sent to the hospital and all he oculd remember was that his legs hurt a lot, and the various maid-characters in games he had seen…
3 Years Later…
She woke up at Dawn Island, remembering her obsession over maid-dress, feeling the need to have only girl-freinds, and her legs being “injured” when they are actually not.
She also got a new trait, where when she fought, she found it fun, so fun that she would laugh insanely.
She remembered bits and blobs of facts like why the sky was blue, how guns worked, the laws of buoyancy, aerodynamics, intertia…
Acolyte: How does it feel to know that you’ve only raised the price on your head.
Sebastian: The price on my head? Ha…(Insane laughing). Send as many as you can, and I shall send them to you in hell one by one!

Sebastan: DId you know… that there is a theory, white being not a color, and black being all colors. And yet, shadow takes color and grace at the slightest touch…
