My french teacher liked to joke about some quite violent things sometimes (like telling my friend “I’ll break your legs” over a small disagreement) but I doubt the younger kids knew this, so some random 11 year old who had got into trouble and placed in our class so he didn’t distract anyone was probably a little concerned hearing the teacher say “I want to kill him but I’m not allowed to”
Other things include someone managing to set something on fire in a science lesson (twice), a friend of mine breaking a glass beaker on his hand and getting some cuts from the shards of glass, a rather organised petition from almost every student because the staff wanted to change the minimum skirt length that was allowed and the girls didn’t like the change, people setting off fireworks inside multiple times, the absolutely awful school nurse who just stood there and watched someone choking (the PE teacher had to actually be the one to save them), my english teacher pretending to be a homeless person.
I also got attacked one time but it wasn’t that interesting and had much less of an effect on my life than you might think.
Substitute teachers were also a great source of strange happenings. One of them was completely unaware of a fire drill happening and thought people were saying “fire” as an answer to a question so he kept saying “no fire isn’t the right answer” so we just left him there. Some of them tried to teach us the same lesson 3 days in a row. One just let people stack tables up in the middle of the room.
I don’t know if this is allowed or (even goofy) but I once saw one of the freshmen attempt suicide after their finals.
He was just standing on the roof until he wasn’t anymore
Let’s put it that way.
I can’t believe I’m saying this but there was nothing I could do.
I felt sorry to not have helped them, because I’ve been in that exact same position before.
so in 8th grade we were learning about thermodynamics n stuff in science
And when we were learning about convection we did this experiment thing where we used incense and a candle to observe how convection influenced the movement of smoke
And when we were putting out the incense the guy next to me thought it was a good idea to cut the tip off using scissors
The outcome is that the shirt I was wearing has a small hole towards the bottom
My bio teacher in 8th grade was sort of… weird? Maybe creep would be a better word. I mean like he had absolutely no qualms or hesitation about explaining reproduction in humans, in detail, to a bunch of 13 yr olds (Our syllabus only had a brief overview). He kinda gave pedo vibes ngl
It’s not just goofy and also that sounds horrible. It’s not your fault that happened. The stress toll of the school system and potential other things are at fault, never ever blame yourself for something you can’t control. You won’t get anywhere with that, trust me.
