Hardest boss for the level u first fight them at?

exactly, calvus is like 45x harder than elius and the fact that people are still complaining about elius being too difficult over a year after game release is so funny

facts, ellius doesnt even do that much damage.
calvus is a nuke

if i have good internet then hes relatively easy yeah, tho compared with the other bosses id say hes the hardest

i can see why people have little problem with him, most of his attacks are either slow or big aka very predictable

the only real threat is the royal pillar thing which can be a big problem if your net is bad… which mine often does

every boss can be easily defeated as long as you are within 20 levels from the intended
with the sole exception of calvus
125 or nothing

Well fuck me I guess I just suck

i might just be exceedingly amazing at video games but the only bosses that took me multiple tries were calvus and maria but even then it was only like 2-3 tries before i won

I want to just say that I really like Argos and Carina in terms of game design.

Argos is slow and hard hitting but also very visually clear on what he is doing to the point that for many newcomers feels like a challenge but a fair one. He really rewards studying what he is doing rather than just flying around.

Later on the game throws Carina at you from nowhere who is very much the opposite of Argos focusing on quick movements and even a DPS check at the second stage as she heals over time. And yet even if its very different its overall fight structure its an understandable fight. More importantly the game knows you are prepared because even if the fight comes from nowhere you already beat Argos meaning a newcomer might struggle but is still capable of winning as the overall requirements are similar.

Both Argos and Carina have well designed arenas that give the player enough space to work around them but not enough to trivialize the fight.

As a side note I did hate Elius and Calvus designs. Especially Elius. Those who say he is easy are disconnected from the brain of the noobs. I have seen so many 40-60 stuck in Elius’ island that makes me wonder how many just quitted entirely.

Calvus might hit hard, but he spends so much time charging that he gets cooked by any build which can afford to take a hit or two. My max regen knight can quite literally pretend as though his attacks aren’t there and not be punished for it, Decent Iron Armor and a fish dinner should do just fine for a first playthrough.

I’m also like 90% sure you get aim assist against Calvus:

iris is forgotten

iris was easy asl idk what u’re on about

You see that’s what confuses me, idk how some people are saying calvus is easy, and yet they are the same people who die to Maria

I thought she was the easiest boss after iris tbh

It depends, maria is VERY rng based so she can either be the easiest or the hardest boss

i wonder why the boss in an enclosed space with attacks that do nuclear levels of damage, has gun m1 aimbot, and is immortal for like 10 seconds, is harder than calvus

okay but, counterpoint, cheese

I mean you can just stand at the top of the ship and spam self-explosion…

Your ideal fight for the end of The Bronze Sea is AR’s Prometheus?)))

This probably isn’t a very hot take but I played other games like AO’s combat with sorta similar bosses, mainly combat initiation, and it kinda made me realize, just how… unfun Calvus is and Maria is.

I can elaborate more if you want but the hardest boss in combat initiation (Vagabond) was really cool and fun to beat but that was because it had so many things that were just done way better imo

No, and i didnt say i wanted them to be harder either
Please do not put words in my mouth

I think bosses are supposed to be hard, aren’t they are?

Its the first sea out of 7, the difficulty is fine
