Has anyone played The Forge yet?

I mean at least its not pure slop

could be better though, but for 5th place in top playing now it’s really high quality

got some more info from the creator himself

the tips and dialogue sounding weird is because it appears he’s from japan, so english isnt his native language (not ai generated)

he was inspired by the flash game jack smith, which is exactly what i recognized when i first joined the game (though i wish they made the minigames more jack smith-like rather than what they are now)

also ive played it for a good bit now and can honestly say, its pretty fun, much better the more i come back to it (keep in mind this is the very first release of the game afaik)

the devs listen to the community and testers and take a lot of the ideas and criticisms to heart so they can improve their game

also they’re already working on a third world which will have a boss, of course a lot more ores and enemies, possibly weapon skills (mentioned in the above video but might not be coming in this exact update) and vanity to replace/hide armor, im really excited for the future of this game i hope they ride on this high and keep the game going

As I’ve said in my earlier post, this video only served as an advertisement to get initial players for its launch. They don’t need any more of those now as it’s already released, so instead they’ll focus on making it so that their players stay addicted, like you are.
Making people think they’re being listened to is easy, but are they actually pushing out changes that will stop it from being a reskinned “simulator”? No, they’ll never do so, they’ll never change enemies to not be reskinned bandits either, and the only thing that they’ll do at best is add bosses.

Really, you need to stop being so naive. In what world would a reskinned “simulator” is ever going to plausibly be someone’s “dream game”?

And as I’ve stated in my earlier post, it is just a reskinned child exploitation simulator.
Bandit beaters like those already exist en-masse on the platform, grind games like those already exist in even greater numbers as well. Do you think that adding layer upon layer of RNG to either of those is going to make it better?
No, of course you don’t, you’re only blinded by the quality of assets as a regular person who did not once dabble in game development would.

Yes, you have the right to like a game’s decorations, but that isn’t reason enough to think that it’s a good game. Think about it: Movies already have assets of much higher quality than those in that game, does it make them better movies than others? No, as is the same with games both digital or not.

I’m sorry but this is so pessimistic and cynical lmao. I mean sure its possible, but also, game could’ve been 10x worse and gotten the same player count.

Even if it ends up being slop, The Forge is at least more interesting than most if not all of the games up there.

Forgive me for having hope, but I think the game can and will get better.

Gosh, i hate game that has race system

game has pretty high quality stuff but unfortunately the base gameplay is still gambling slop with some mind numbing progression, in this case bandit beating.

they can do all they want to improve other parts, but if the core replayability is gambling and bandit beating its not that different from other top games

the video is to explain how the game came to be and yes, somewhat like you said, it was an advertisement

but not for launch, it was for the playtest that he talks about in the video

misinformed, ad hominem fallacy, completely incorrect as well

this game is more of an rpg rather than a simulator, you don’t speed up task completion by doing anything in the game as you are incentivized to venture further for better stuff and harder enemies rather than just mining pebbles in the first zone, its more of a bandit beater by that logic but really its just an rpg since you don’t need to kill enemies if you don’t want to

yeah its easy for them to make people think (or rather know) they’re being listened to because a lot of the issues people have are taking into consideration, which can’t be said for 99% of games on roblox (AO is also included), it isn’t a simulator so they don’t need to push out changes to make it less like one, not every grindy game is a simulator

same typa mfs that would say AO is a bandit beater :sob:

you’re just tossing out terms that you don’t know the definition of in hopes that it makes you sound smart, what did i say about trying to come across as a pseudointellectual?

killing enemies is not the main way of progression, completing the quests around the map and mining/forging is

enemies just help that general process by being the requirement for some quests (like rowan) and in some cases dropping mid-tier ores that you can further use in your gear (like boneite/darkboneite/slimeite)

the game isn’t perfect, sure, but again it quite literally just released to the public and has very good potential, especially with the devs being passionate about the game

if it isn’t your genre, then don’t play, and stop harassing people who do like the game just because your pitiful life can’t let you enjoy simplicity, you honestly irk me with these pointless insults and half-washed arguments in every part of this forum

not a bandit beater which i explained in my above reply, nor is there really any gambling aspects besides the race rerolls (which they seem very generous of giving out, ive gotten 20 for free in the past few days and they do plan on making a free way to obtain them as well)

core replayability is mining and forging, the forging being RNG based is the worst part about the game but thats also something people are probably upset with and will be changed

Bro summarized Rune Slayer

Guess you could say we’re mine and crafting..

and arcane and odyssey

ok im going to bed i’ve been up for too long :wing:

Stopppp, they’re already dead :sob:

People still argue with ghosts :wing:

yeah if they change the rng forging itd be way better (although most roblox players are a bit addicted to rng so i cant say if that will make the game more or less popular lmao)

but the quests are still kinda bland so making fights more engaging would also be better

The top playing section is so deprived that we’ll take anything over another brainrot game, even if the game is just a collection of three older trends with their progression taped together.
By the power of deepwoken clones, clicker simulators, and RNG games, I summon The Forge!

i played it for a bit

the gameplay has no depth to it, didn’t enjoy it past 10 minutes
