Headcanon for dying

Where or what do you think happens when you die?

I believe there’s either a heaven or there’s just nothing

I think you get sent to whatever afterlife you believe in i guess?

so there’s mulitple afterlifes?

I think that you get cremated usually maybe buried

maybe? idk, its not like anyone could come back from death to tell us

Some people could probably go find out but they’d never make it back to tell the tale I suppose
Believe in what you believe in

I personally believe we just cease to exist

Nothing.

I’ve been a cold-hard atheist as long as I remember. I grew up around a Christian and a Jewish family. You see the contrasts, the similarities, the problems with both - you don’t feel much faith in either. Not to mention, paganism never attracted me because it always seemed predatory - mostly christians going into it as Christianity failed them.

Don’t get me wrong, I respect the faiths, I just never got INTO any. Too strict, nonsensical, contradictory, rules that don’t fit modern society for the standard person, religions that changed - Celibacy wasn’t in the catholic church until the 12th century or so, from what I know… or was that angels??? I cant remember.

Not to mention, praying to a God that put me in my damn life since day 1 for me to be “normal” never really felt good.

So… yeah. Nothing. Dreamless sleep forever. I’d prefer it that way, to be honest. Reincarnation infuriates a deep part of my soul and I don’t really know why. Fun in concept, but… not fun in practice, I’d imagine.

Infact I’m confident that most of us here know what the entire plot of an isekai is
Sounds cool but could suck depending on what you exist as

I just guess that nothing happens when we die but I don’t think we will ever truly know

I mean, a head cannon would probably cause you to die yeah.

(now it’s my turn :pensive:)

I want to believe in reincarnation or heaven and hell or smth simular but whats probably gonna happen is already simulated a billion times daily.

Computers are “alive” when on and “dead” when off. That is how it will be with us. We are alive while our computer, the brain, is alive, then we will die when the brain dies.

At least that is how much everyone will care. What happens to OUR brain, we dont know. Maybe it is reincarnated, or is in hell or in heaven. One of the world’s mysteries, they say.

I’ve had a similar experience although I’m Agnostic rather than Atheist I grew up in Utah, very Mormon Utah and although I can respect them I’ve never believed in it because I found it silly and contradicts itself plus it goes against lots of scientific facts. Although unfortunately I was baptized before I got any choice in the matter.

When you die you wake up in arcane odyssey as you should

You die and your body gets cremated/buried/embalmed/donated to science/covered in wax/whatever and with the slow decay of time your body becomes unrecognizable

pffft look at this idiot who wont even die in a bog

#NaturalMummificationGangRiseUp!!!

I like to think that every copy of Super Mario 64 this afterlife concept is personalized; some people’s Heaven would be my secret tenth ring of Hell.

calling the thoughts/beliefs for after death a headcanon is wild :sob:

Peak internet phenomenon mentioned

imagine facing the inevitable march of death :sunglasses:
