why do people shit on heat magic soo much?
it has high size, good speed, DoT, and leaves heat clouds
the only downside is the lower impact damage, thats about it

raw stats alone + mediocre visuals is, well, lame lol.
a new player would probably mistake Valerii as a flare/fire user if they weren’t paying much attention
I thought Iris used Fire Magic on my first go around, so I might have just been a little dumb.
I also completely forgot every character other than Morden, Iris, and Ruby Roger before meeting them again in some other story section, I mixed up Vanity and Stat gear, and I used Light Conjurer. Light Magic and Weapons are now my two least-favorite build things.
it could also be valerii’s stats and preset spells making it look worse
would be cool if it created long lasting (non invasive and easy enough to see through) clouds of heat. The effect is not as immediate as poison or ash but they’d last longer to let you really cover the battlefield in high heat and the heat is enough to cause the damage you take from being over the heat limit.

no it’s actually better fire. It does burn and has “poison” clouds
I said poison cloud interaction because it actually can apply onto poison clouds. It looks a little bit different when it’s standalone clouds.
