ok i have an idea
buff essence spawn to 1/6
all essence now spawns in a very clear “hecate temple” structure that could have traps and enemies and shit
Maybe along with a visual indicator and/or structure/decreasing island size to not surpass mount othrys
Create a boss that needs to be defeated to obtain hectate essence
Some of the main points against it’s current state is how tedious it is, how repetitive and boring it is, nothing to indicate progress, hard to see then you get to see it and you finally get it, it’s simply relief, that’s all you feel, it is not really satisfying at all
If a boss is added in, you could also justify a increased chance since it will still hold actual difficulty, even if it could then be found in earlier ranges a boss could make it so it doesn’t become to easy
Someone pls suggest this I have been waiting since october for someone to respond to my suggestor request
TLDR
reduce size of islands, visual indicator
If expanded to other areas of the dark sea add a boss that has to be defeated for essence to retain difficulty

Vetex said that he not gonna increase it chance and even said that it should be rarer so that not option on the table but what we should suggest is making it nearly impossible to miss by having indicator that Hecate essence is on the island
And from my perspective, island height should be toned down

Can’t we just make Hecate essence nearly impossible to miss when it spawn on the island
You could easily miss it if you have terrible render distance

i believe its pointless because vetex already made up his mind, and hes already aware that some people arent too happy with the current state of hecate essence and yet doesnt wanna change it
the ONLY possible way it will get changed is if there is some huge community outrage like when the build names were changed and they were reverted
Yes, it is truly unfortunate that full on community outrage is what it takes to get vetex to reconsider any of his ideas, no matter how good or bad they are.
maybe you should spark a revolution for hecate essence change, recruit likeminded people such as yourself to push for it (im sure there are many)

Today i spent another 3 hours searching for Hecate essence with my friend who is willing to volunteer to help me find and we FAILED
Hecate Essence would genuinely not be even HALF of the pain in the rear it is now if it wasn’t purple. The water in the dark sea is purple. Some islands are purple. The Far Reaches have a global purple filter making everything more purple.
Visibility in the far reaches is already ass even with clearsight, please give Hecate Essence like any amount of contrast i beg. Or make it so it’s highlighted with Revealing V idk.
