honestly hecate essence, when it actually renders, is super easy to see even at a distance.
while yes, it is purple, all the dark sea stuff is dark purple.
You’re not missing this. Not to mention that its a cloud of particles which means that its constantly animated, making it even easier to spot in a mostly still environment.
Its just that vetex, for whatever reason, made it so it doesn’t render at all unless you’re within… I think it was 500 studs?
I doubt vetex will change his mind (and believe me i do wish he would) about the way it spawns besides maybe bug-fixing the essence in ground thing, but some way to know the essence’s presence from a longer range would make this so much less tedious.
Irc it’s not that rare (20% per island in the far reaches i think?) it’s just that far reaches islands are fucking huge and you can’t tell which one has an essence on it.
Having a quartermaster say “…Does anyone else feel that…?” or some other hint when you’re closing in on an island that has one would go some way towards having players not search 50 huge-sizerolled islands that never had anything on them, at least.
I wouldn’t be making half the fuss about this as I am if the chances it even spawned in the first place were that high.
If that is the case, then vetex shouldn’t have made them with effects like that in the first place.
It isn’t like a roblox update that made them stop rendering beyond 500 studs happened after they released.
I’ve seen it a couple times.
It seems to show up whenever a super controversial topic (which this… really isn’t controversial lol) has a reason to continue to not be closed.
Like this is less of an argument and more of a debate… even if some people make it very very difficult to keep that way.
