well hold on, actually while mending does provide an extreme amount of utility, itâs also true that certain enchantments like power on a bow are extremely good and could be argued as making the tool actually useful. Mending is great because it lets you keep your tools forever, but that wouldnât be very useful if the tools themselves werenât useful in the first place.
Basically, it could be argued (albeit poorly) that mending isnât necessarily the best enchantment in the game depending on the situation.

yup, had to get hecate essence to change back to plasma, Found it on the first island but i almost left it, if not for the fact i was being chased by two atlanteans, I wouldnât have routed over an area to see it, even with clear-sight.
THIS is what i mean when i say it needs a sound queue or needs to be slightly larger. some small ass cloud thats the same color as the fog is impossible to spot unless youâre already on top of it. I dont need to see/hear it from across 3 islands, I need to know when its a around my radius, so i can feel that its nearby, and so i dont need to actually check every square inch of some Sameria+ island.
tbh, i feel like 90% of people just miss the essence, its ridiculously hard to notice; and I wouldnât be surprised if the complaints went down a ton if we actually could confirm whether or not its on an island by giving it a good check.
The dark sea is laggy as hell, My computer is pretty old, but I can play on graph4-5; even with that, the fog is still too harsh, the rain unending, and too much to worry about for anybody to have a good way to reasonably search an entire island.
Sometimes in the dark sea Iâll run across an island so unfathomably big that I could run around it for 30 minutes and never cross the same spot once.
