If it had colorful GUIs and a gameplay loop like Grow A Garden I’d be able to hyperfocus on it, but unfortunately real life farming is miserable intensive labor and not like a video game
I have a soviet or russian tanks blueprints (im not sure its just in what looks like russian)
It absolutely was true, the only difference now is how wildly incompetent the Trump cabinet is- which is the main reason it had such a strong backlash. Pete Hegseth lacks senior military or national security experience and RFK Jr spreads a ton of misinformation and has no health expertise, just to name a few.
I don’t think its exactly smart to alienate your closest allies, regardless of the amount of weight you hold. His tariffs plans haven’t really succeeded so far, forcing him to suspend them for 90 days.
He is, though - he would have had more money if he had done absolutely nothing with it. He has lost more money than he has gained, making him automatically a failed businessman.
I’d also disagree with this- he changed his party affiliation 5 times so far. Doesn’t exactly strike me as consistent.
And the final thing really is his Big Beautiful Bill, Trump promised not to cut Medicaid in 2016 and 2020 and that’s exactly what he’s doing now. The bill massively benefits the top 1% by giving them big tax cuts; whilst cutting Medicaid and SNAP for the poorest Americans.
Then there’s also the whole “Alligator Alcatraz” situation as well as everything going on with the Supreme Court right now.
All in all I’d honestly say not to worry too much because there’s no use worrying about things you cannot affect.
ok well i still think he should die
RKF Jr, I obviously won’t agree with everything they’ve said. Their history with vaccines is needless to say, a bad thing, but they’ve got people there who’ll push back. He can’t necessarily just get rid of them, but let’s be honest. Covid 19 didn’t do anyone any favors in this regard anyways, and that was pushed by the Democrats a lot. I never got the vaccine myself, but I also didn’t get very sick from it (had a family member with covid, I was around them, never got sick).
Pete Hegseth… yeah, sure, they’re not as experienced as the previous guy. However, they’ve brought two things to the table. One, they actually leave the United States. Two, just them being SoD came with a rise in military recruitment. We still gotta see what they do in their position, but so far they’ve been pretty active and it hasn’t been a year. Although, I can say this, I can actually think of things Pete has done; I can’t for Lloyd, and as I do a quick search, they’ve done more as a General and in central command than as SoD.
I think the framing of this is a bit one sided. If trying to get more free trade is alienation, then I don’t think the EU had our best interests in mind despite being allies. Also the tariffs were suspended to encourage investment and/or negotiation from the EU. Last I remember/checked, we managed to get China to lower their tariffs on the US while keeping a portion of our own elevated tariffs. So tariffs work, and prices didn’t skyrocket like the fear mongering media kept saying was going to happen. At the same time though, I don’t buy a lot of junk I don’t need, so I don’t end up buying a lot of stuff that’s Made in China.
If he’s lost more money than he’s gained, then how’d he get richer? Unless you’re referring to his presidencies, which, well… he’s quite literally a rarity in that he loses money in office when everyone else makes money.
Political viewpoints, not party affiliation. He’s been touting tariffs since the the 1990’s or 1980’s (I don’t remember when exactly).
The bill makes the Trump tax cuts permanent, and further adds many more tax cuts that only really benefit the working class. We can talk about Medicaid, but that’s been subject to so much fraud. I’d rather not have my taxes pay for someone who isn’t in need and is able to work. I think the biggest plus is that the funds no longer go to non-citizens. We’ll see the actual effects of the bill, but people have been fear mongering so much that I just need to see it to believe it.
Supreme Court stuff is mostly going to give Trump wins because it’s mostly him actually using his presidential powers. We’ve just never had a president actually use them, so people are surprised by how much power they have (a lot of it was given over by Congress too).
Agreed, let’s wait and see. I hope for the best, not to be right, but so the US as a whole can prosper.
Who?
rump
Of course
The tax cuts massively benefit the top 1% and not the working class.
If he passively invested in real estate and stocks his net worth would be around 80 billion by 2017. Instead its 2 billion; by trying to run a business instead of just chilling he lost money.
I could discuss all your points but I really only have one question- where do you get the majority of your information.
Except its not, the supreme court has always been horrendous due to party affiliations and never really been as neutral as its supposed to be. And this can especially be seen in this presidency.
These Medicaid cuts are affecting people who cannot work and rely on medicine for everyday life; and if you wanna make an argument that you shouldn’t be paying for other people’s healthcare that’s a different story. Long and short is that the Big Beautiful Bill impacts the poorest people the most- whilst also increasing the national debt. Its a horrible bill. Not only that it affects rural America the hardest.
Sure, the positive impacts of the bill happen instantly- but the cuts start taking effects in 2027. So we can have this discussion then. Regardless, the cuts affect the elderly and people with disabilities- two groups of people who might not be able to work even if they wanted to. And can lead up to 16 million people to be uninsured; all this to give tax cuts to the wealthy.
Reading this thread, well I’m glad I’m not American. This’ll probably affect a lot more people but y’all are certainly at the epicenter of this.
The issue here is that you’re equating a hypothetical with reality. He could’ve been worth 80 billion by 2017, but it’s all in the stock market. But instead he’s worth 2 billion with his businesses. I’d rather have 2 billion in net worth via the businesses I privately own, rather than have 80 billion in the overinflated stock market.
Alternative media but I don’t really follow the mainstream since they all talk the same. One thing I noticed is that the media typically says stuff without citing what they’re referring to. Like right now as I’m typing this, I’m listening to Bernie talk about the bill and he’s not saying much. I’ll bring it up in the next paragraph.
The specifics of the medicaid cut is by making undocumented/illegal immigrants, and able bodied individuals, from being able to apply for medicaid. There’s no precedent set, so hopefully no one tries to say someone in a wheel chair is able bodied, but that’s what the court system is for. So what Speaker Johnson said about this, is that the idea is that someone needs to work a minimum of 20 hours a week (80 hours a month). So for any single parent for example that applies for medicaid, they can work part time while their kid’s at school and still receive benefits. Someone who isn’t able bodied (ie. disabled people) would presumably be exempt from this requirement. As for the national debt and economy points, the economists haven’t been right this entire presidency. I’m not gonna trust what they’re saying anymore, not until they can prove themselves again.
We’ll see how many people actually end up uninsured. At the very least, the bill makes the first Trump tax cuts permanent. A lot of the tax cuts are just extensions or reinstatements. I should probably read the bill myself in it’s entirety, but I have to find it instead of the summarized one. Summarized one is just easier to read since it has shortcuts in the ToC.
“We had to have hoover before getting roosevelt” type situation here. All we can hope is the next U.S Election has more voters, unlike this one.

US politics are global politics, mostly because it’s such a massive economy. I, like many others, can only hope for the best.
When you order ragebait from wish
Wdym by alternative media- also Trump literally bankrupted 3 casinos. CASINOS.
