Hitstun is the key to happiness 😽

turns out you can only have one draft at a time (as far as the 30 seconds i checked) so i gotta delete my bigger thing and paste it later when i’m done with this

but i’m on my hands and knees hitstun will be a hail mary for combat, introducing it and initial balancing will be extreme but

-allows people to hit runners regardless of agility, so there’s less complaining in that regard (no need for a bandaid fix for agility in combat)
-stronger give and take so combat feels less like a slapping contest to see who outlasts the other
-indirectly gives new purpose to resistance, say as a threshold of damage until you are knocked out of charging an attack

i’ll edit other points later but i need the masses to hear and understand me

my good man, have you heard of beams/piercing shot?

again it’ll need balancing, doesn’t necessarily mean all forms of hitstun are the same type/duration

No.

yes

testers should temporarily turn it on in tu and try it with PvP AND PvE

This is never getting added, not a chance.

At best, I could see some form of silencing but not hitstun.

gross…
hitstun does not fit ao pvp

ily meta

I don’t think you understand how AOs PVP works. Adding hitsun to every move ingame drastically ruin the combat (It’s an aimbased, endlag dependant system… there’s a reason why stun synergies were reworked). I’d rather a soft stun, like knockback or ragdoll (Which is already applied to grabs and wind/boxing) rather than pure hitsun.

It just doesn’t fit Arcane Odysseys combat style imo

my spirit may be crushed but the dream still lives :pensive:

does each blast not downscale since it’s multiple? at worst getting by the first blast means you get hit by the rest for full damage, unless it’s balanced a specific way

yeah i’m gonna got dogged on for saying this but i don’t pvp very often nor am i well versed in it, i’m more speaking from a conceptual standpoint

More amount = more damage, but harder to hit all of it (therefore if all of it hits, it’s stronger than a singular attack).

but again you need to factor the multiple chances of missing compared to one, likely lower average damage than one blast

and hitstun fixes that

not necessarily fixes but alters the game plan. how often do you see a single blast used compared to 20
