How big can Arcane Odyssey get?

Firstly ı would like you to read this post @puppykeeper1234 dropping some good ideas about what could be added and his ideas make me start wondering about how could it be implemented in some way

Arcane Odyssey is a very big game even as it is now so this raises question for me what could be roblox limits in making it bigger(excluding optimisation and performance problems)

anyway if AO wasnt on roblox we could have

  • better story with actual good themes rather than child-like adhereing to roblox standards story
  • better visuals, rather than being stuck with roblox’s particle engine
  • much longer update periods probably
  • actual good models because vetex can’t just retexture an old roblox one for a piece of armor
  • just overall everything better tbh (except combat, combat would more than likely remain the same)

i think he can somewhat tackle dark themes in roblox in a subtle nuanced way but most people dont bother doing that in a fantasy action genre game which is a shame

imagine a little side quest that starts off simple that makes you think its just another fetch quest then it messes with your emotions and questions your morality (nier replicant typa side quests…)

Sadly I think vetex is too deep to switch to, say, unity. If he had experience with unity and decided to make AO there immediately — instead of a couple of years into development — I could actually see AO releasing on steam.

Lack of premium payouts and having to pay for his own servers would be the biggest issues, so it would have to either be paid and/or be crowdsourced.

would be nice if roblox didn’t have a coding language mostly unapplicable to other engines

He might tackle dark themes but it will only limited ingame books and discord messages sadly with that being said ı hope they could find a wayto add dark themes to actual storyline or in long indepent/faction side quests

About story and dark themes its a very big copium but maybe in the future roblox could get better as a platform so we could reach a more free creative space for darker themes

limitations can sprout creativity, he could just do implications and write about it in a subtle way as i said
though if its something that roblox explicitly doesnt allow like drugs he def cant (kind of a shame cause imagine pirate drug cartel wars :fire: )

maybe he can write stuff about human trafficking rings or something

Oh yeah writing is fine but ı was thinking with the seekers of sight we may have a option to actually kidnap npc,players that we almost slayed to make them sacrifice to chaos for like buffs,special techniques/spells stuff now thinking bad it seems impossible

Take an old man’s advice: as someone who’s been on Roblox for over twelve years now, it hasn’t gotten better. Everything, and I do mean everything after 2018 has been a downhill movement. Roblox will not get better unless it undergoes a massive change in leadership with the complete replacement of the Roblox Corporation and the removal of a great many shareholders. That won’t happen.
