It’s happened twice to me, once when I was doing a quest on a weaker file and another when I was at sea. Both times, 2 positive reputation players fought me. I’m in a clan. How do you guys deal with it? I also don’t like that my clan ganks.
All you can do is just get good

Thanks for the advice; The next moment I got ganked, I put my opponent in a kilt and they had to stop to do a funny Irish dance— giving me ample time to run away!

Depends on what you mean by “weaker file.” If you’re on a file below the Level Cap and you’re in a clan, then riddle me this: what the hell are you doing? You’re basically asking to be ganked, since there’s a reward if another player in a clan does so; it’s still lame, but there’s a reason for it. I’d say the same kind of applies if you’re running a Bounty instead of Fame while doing the story quests, but not really since the “reward” is lesser. Oh wow, 300 Galleons; I probably could’ve gotten that by opening chests on Shell Island and selling what’s in them.
If weaker means “I don’t have optimal armor or jewels,” then the only thing I can really say is to just try to get better at PvP, unfortunately. While you finish up your gear build, try to cobble together a cheaper version of what you want to go for, such as using a normal Fair Attack Speed Amulet while you try to get one with the Crystalline Modifier.
Just an example of a gear build that would likely work out for a while. Obviously, getting something like a Sunken armor piece would be great, but those are both really expensive and take ages to get unless you’re lucky. Doesn’t have to be anything good, just needs stats that are somewhat high.
Oh, and maybe stay far away from Nimbus Sea servers. They’re the Salty Spitoon of AO. Sure, they’re the only place to get Visigoth Armor and the Abyssal Modifier, but Visigoth stuff is pretty much trash, while Abyssal only works if you embrace chaos and make your entire gear build centered around Resistance.

Be an inconvenience in ways that most people are not.
Most people who attack someone unprovoked are used to dealing with people fighting back or running away.
They are usually prepared to chase someone into the sea if they have to.
They are usually not prepared for their target to start spawning sharks.

parry all of their attacks so while they can kill me, the knockback and the reduced damage would irritates them

Practice and study on pvp. Either through trial and error, or through mentors and guides.

Well here is the choice for you to pick
- disband your clan or get out of your clan
- block them
- wait until full release happens
- Just pvp brute force it up
- Just run away

i got jumped twice when swapping my build, once after i unequipped all of my gear in sameria (they were hiding in the water and waiting for me to finish) and i just ran away and logged
then again when i was trading for my last piece of new equipment, this time was in the ocean so i just jumped into the water and swam away before logging

come back in full release when there is a pvp toggle. and just play with pvp turned off

There’s not much philosophy to it, even if you want to stay in a clan.
- Stay on neutral rep at all times
- Cherrypick your servers. Make sure you’re in a server with a lot of low levels/non clanners or people with low kills
- Wait for Full Release and nag your clan owner to convert into a guild
