I’m curious about how everyone crosses the street. I personally bolt across, I don’t walk, I run.

I walk unless I’m holding up a car then I try to quicken my pace

i walk normally whenever there isn’t any nearby cars (as to not accidentally jump into a car going as fast as the speed limit)
kind of like what figure said, if i’m blocking the road for a driver, i’ll start sprinting.

I look both ways, then walk across

personally i climb over every car and jump across them
i just give the driver a death stare
me personally, i jaywalk. If theres a car coming i give them a death stare
ive never crossed a street alone before (public), its usually walking
I crab walk while crossing, locking eyes with the drivers to assert dominance.
I look both ways then just walk across,if there’s a car coming then i speed walk or run depending on the distance.
Also after looking at the comments not enough of you guys are looking both ways before crossing the street

Just because i doesn’t mention it doesn’t mean i don’t do it
Because it’s such a basic and necessary thing to do (literally every person and their mother will teach you to do it), it’s like mentioning that you should breathe oxygen while crossing the road
Anyways I close my eyes and bolt across the road, only thing that slows me down is the incoming sound of cars so I can dodge them. And if I accidentally look down either way of the road then I turn around and immediately give up on where I was originally going

(I also live in a neigborhood thing, not a street
Also you don’t gotta be in the middle of New York to cross streets, even neighborhoods have roads you need to cross

also no sidewalks, so not really
I meant like actually walking out or around the neighborhood and not just to the neighbor across the street, but yeah no sidewalks does make it pretty impossible
